January 22, 2014 at 7:41 am #1381699I was fishingLake michigan in 2000 i was having kicker problems would run the dye it was on and off constantly drove me nuts. it was getting dark out and the darn thing did it again that meant all the baits settled down when i got it going agin one of the lines started to scream I had a friend along told him to watch the boat I thought i was snaggedand wanted to clear ir. I grabbed the line and it was a fish but a monster we reeled the other lines in to get them out of the way Ifought that fish for 45min then it started to come up.I had a 17 ft boat it was getting dark and then we saw this monster it was longer then the boat and had a tail that looked like a shark and it was whiteish scared the bleep out of us until we got it up closer. It turned out to be a Sturgeon that was longerthen the boat I guess in the early 1900’s they planted some russian strain sturgeon in the Milwaukee area never to be caught like they had hoped that really was spooky. it had bit the spoon was hooked right in the mouth.
January 22, 2014 at 7:10 am #1381690If you havenever had an inboard before then you will find that they have to be winterized each year the bearings gone thru on the lower the bellows checked for leaks the maintenance is expensive then where do you put a kicker on the back? the back makes it harder to bring fish in because its higher. They ride great in big waves are very wide and its a Lund thats a plus there really isnt a lot of room in the back do to the engine I think in the long run they are nice boats but you would be better off with an outboard but for a family boat they are great pull tubes and skiers.sit in it take a pole and see what you think pretend your bring in a fish just get a good feel then make your decision
January 21, 2014 at 7:00 am #1363535I kinda figured that senerio out and I beleive that the moon phase has had an effect this past week. the bite went from all day to starting at about 2 to 6pm so Ihavent gone out until late.I found that glow jigs with a couple white spikes work and if the ones that come up and wont commit i go down to the bottom and get the ones off the bottom to commit. It has worked on 5 lakes that i fish. I tried plastic nothing but ive never tried chicken skin will put that on my try list for today I think that the fish will get back to a normal pattern in a few days it happens every full moon for me those little buggers must be vampires lol

November 7, 2013 at 1:30 am #1204324i believe your motor is a carbed motor they had some issues with these and need to be set with a vaccuum machine to balance them out if they guess and do it you will have what you are explaining happen the rpm should be 55o to 650 rpm if the vaccuum is nott set properly you compermise some where in the range you should have them set it down and you will be close to the speed you want
