That would work if it were big enough. Would rather have round buttons or diamonds though.

I worked for Byron back in 1966 on the barge and also piloted the launch.
Our prayers go out to his family.(His wife and son Mark).
As you all know, Byron was a great guy. I can say he was very good to work with and for.
    God Bless

I bought a Water Boss at Menards a year ago and am more than satisfied with the cost and end product. Very easy to install also.

I read that the newest model has an external screen on it to keep debri and foreign objects out.
It is supposed to take care of sticky issues.

These are not ‘kids’. they are 18 and over and legally adults. Why is college at Penn State all about football?
What ever happened to education and degrees being what college is all about.
What they got was a slap on the wrist. Every one that knew anything and did nothing should be punished. there is not a punishement that will ever right the wrong that was done to the innocent victums. Their life will NEVER be normal or even a semblance of normalcy. Penn State will go on and hopefully be under very close scrutiny.Child abuse and sexual molestation has laws in effect to protect the innocent. Anyone involved in the coverup is a creep and should be charged also.

I would buy a new Lowrance Gen 2 HDS 8 ( 8 is also a good big screen )or HDS 10 for the dash. Also buy a LSS-2 and mount transducer on transom and network the HDS5 with the other units and you can get side imaging and structure scan on both units. You already have one HDS 5 so now you only have to buy one HDS and LSS-2. Lowrance is offering rebates on the HDS and LSS bundles.

    hey guys,
Ive tried that, but it doesn’t work with that either. Maybe I don’t have that set up right. i have sent PM’s before and they worked. Will get it figured out.

I agree with Bassn7. Dr Depth will do what you want, but it is time consuming and not easy to do. I worked with a buddy last year to make a map of a local lake and even as good as we are with the computer and programming, we didn’t think it was worth all the time.

The LSS-1 Transducer is not like the puck or the skimmer. It needs to be mounted externally. Either on the transom, jackplate, or trolling motor. It should be used at a speed of 1 to 6 MPH for the best side imaging readings. There are special brackets made to attach it to the jackplate or trolling motor. with them you won’t have to drill holes in the boat itself. Completely your choice. Check out this link for the Transducer Shield. http://www.transducershieldandsaver.com/home/transducers

    Good Luck

    Tom,
Sorry to hear the news. Last Thursday I had a biopsy taken of two spots on my face that have been bothering me for a few years. Just kept putting it off until last week. I got the report back today and it wes negative. Neither one was cancer. Feel real good about it. I like a tan and have not used much sun screen over the years and now I will start using it more often. I know you can still get a tan with sunscreen on so there is no reason not to use it.
Tom, my prayers are with you.
    Tight Lines.

Just read the link you posted and couldn’t figure out what it meant for me. I have a 332c, a 520c an HDS 7 and a LSS-1. How am I effected? Why can’t they just put stuff in plain english.

Might want to check with Warners Dock. They have an awful lot of electronic parts in stock.
They are in New Richmond Wi. but could ship if they have it . Phone Number is 1 888 222 3625.
    Worth a try.

I just purchased an HDS-7 from Wade last week and tonight I uploaded the latest update 4.0.36.59b into the unit. It was new but still needed to have latest update installed. My HDS unit works great.
I have the transducer for the HDS installed inside the bilge and the transducer for the LSS-1 installed below my jackplate in the middle of the boat. Sonar and downscan images are nearly identical . Works great like this. Can’t use sidescan or downscan over 35 mph anyway so if the transducer comes out of the water at higher speeds, it prohibits unwanted spray from the back of the boat.

I clicked on your link and the HDS 7 is 1499.

    The HDS 5 is 1299.

I think it is a bogus ad. No one would sell the HDS7
+ structure Scan Bundle for that cost.

Went out on Terry’s last Sunday. Was not real impressed. But, I don’t have a lot to compare it to. Terry himself seemed to be kind of a grouch. Ours was a church group. Fishing was kind of slow and once he anchored he never moved. We were on a 6 hour trip. Kids seem to get on his nerves. His helpers talked all day about how good they did on their own the night before. Just what we wanteed to hear when we were not cathcing fish.
I don’t want to sound like I am bashing Terry’s Launch because I really am not. Just telling it like I see it.
Someone told me they are all the same no matter what. Also remember the slot size has a big effect on how people feel. When you catch a fish and have to throw it back, you still have “NONE’. that of course isn’t the Launch operators fault.
    Again, just my .02.
