Is battery output good and strong. Check that and ensure connections are tight. Hope this helps.
April 30, 2013 at 2:57 pm #1166891We soaked hermeticly sealed circuit cards 24 hours in simple green to loosen all the scum from fans and then wipe & rinse it away when I was in the Navy back in the 80s. Good safe stuff.

diddo on replacing the impeller. That is your best bet.
#896625 – 04/29/10 11:47 AM Edit Reply QuoteI got through it all without a scratch and saved 1.7 hours of labor @ $125/hr Yes, there is a linkage clearly visible just above the fwd sect. of the lwr unit. It’s the first thing to remove. BE ADVISED there is a tube that must be disconnected from the lower unit in the same fwd area AFTER it is separated a few inches. I cut the zip tie and removed the tube from the nipple. Seven bolts, 3 each side and one long bolt accessed by removing the trim fin under the zinc plate. The rest was easy. remove the housing pull out the impeller noting which way its bent and replace exactly the same way. Replace gasket and plate then lower housing and impeller down the shaft, insert new key in keyway tighten bolts. Grease the spline. Put it all back together.

January 15, 2013 at 4:35 pm #1130940Sounds as if the tilt motor has worn out brushes that need to be replaced.
July 12, 2012 at 3:29 pm #1083469I have been waiting since rumors were floating around the fishing opener about it. The time is now. This has got me on the edge of my seat. Now must attempt justifying it to my Better Half. Any how-to tips are welcome.
June 19, 2012 at 1:29 am #1076891You should use the rated amp breaker for each motor from each owners manual. 2 breakers, not one. If you exceed the amp rating on the 60 amp motor, it will have fried before the breaker pops at 80 amps Don’t use one 80 amp breaker.

You reduce all risk by following mfrs. recommendations and keeping that hard earned cash for things other than motor repair.May 29, 2010 at 6:45 pm #876021Agreed!!!!! Dump those chitty tires as soon as possible and get into a set of Goodyear Marathons.

April 24, 2010 at 5:37 pm #866467I assume the task is basically the same for both makes. I will order a pump kit today if I can. Thanks for the help.
April 20, 2010 at 2:43 am #865261Been there (Ear Falls) 3 times in Sept. and each time has been a jig and minnow bite with plastics a close 2nd. The lodge owner Gary put us on hot spots every day and yours will or should do the same. If he doesn’t know, call around to other lodges near the areas you will be fishing and ask them what is trippin’ their trigger and what depth. Our best color was flourecent green and chartreuse jigs. Pwr Bait/Gulp minnows worked good too. Most fishing was done in less then 30 ft. Again, if you don’t mark fish move on. Good luck,

March 22, 2010 at 4:35 pm #856100Evergreen Lodge is nice, Affordable and had great, clean accomodations. Roomy 18ft rental boats says 16 in brochure but we were in 18’r with 50 fours. We brought our own food and cooked our own meals and saved a bundle. Fri thru Monday with boat/bait/gas = 95/day.
Fishing is excellent. Gary and Pat will put you on fish. Pay phone on site to keep in touch with FW. Bring a phone card.

I stopped counting with a RI of 37 in 2000.
Some steel and bamboo rods keep entering the collection too. Why? I don’t know. It just happens.February 12, 2010 at 5:10 pm #841842Quote:

Agree! I have a Sony also. Add a PS3 and Surround along with that and you’re set for days of ice fishing in the shack !

I have used shad darts in 1/64 oz on finnicky crappies. red head, white body in stained to dark water. The fall rate and head shape give it an enticing action with a little lift/snap on the ultra lite and then a long 5-15 second pause to let the jig settle. Try ’em out.December 26, 2009 at 1:14 am #826638My question, is it too overwhelming? My wife and I saw the human body at the science museum’s Imax. We were amazed but it felt like we saw only a portion of the film. We were like, in kind of a sensory overload afterwards and then wanted to see it on a regular screen to see what we missed. How ’bout you?
December 16, 2009 at 12:49 am #823665Here’s one of the Goonch he caught on the show. 160+ lbs He said it’s not the man eater, but after seeing the teeth… if he got ahold of your leg, not much chance you are getting it back after a little death roll I don’t think there are many Noodlers left in that neck of the woods!

November 26, 2009 at 5:30 pm #818643Great photo Jason. I see one eyeing a toothpick.
That reminds me of last year when I was on South Lindstrom and noticed a lone eagle flying at water level. With the look of intent and determination, he was gettin’ it like an A-10 Warthog flying CAP in Attack mode on a target. The target was a floatilla of Coot in deep water. As soon as the eagle’s cover was blown the water erupted with flapping coot wings as they dove to elude the predator. The eagle flared and went vertical to prepare for another attack, eyes fixated on the water like attack radar waiting for the coot to reappear. The eagle could see well below the surface of the water and it was obvious he had picked a specific target when it made another flare and dove for the water just before a coot surfaced. As soon as the coot’s head popped up it realized it’s dilemna and dove to to avoid a talonectamy. The eagle was an instant too late and again pulled up to gain altitude and make another pass. The eagle was relentless. This went of for at least 10 or 15 minutes until the coot was so out of breath from barely being able to get air that it basicly drowned itself. The eagle swooped in for the final hoorah and flew off with a holiday meal that was almost too heavy to keep airborne. It percivered and landed in the treetops on shore. I was really impressed. Forgot all about fishing the whole time, I was so caught up in the hunt. That was so cool and I was glad I took the time to just sit and watch nature go by.November 26, 2009 at 4:15 pm #818628Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and All our Fellow comrades who are near or deployed keeping us free to enjoy this day. November 23, 2009 at 5:44 pm #817901I would also say Shimano for the simple fact that they outwork and outlast other products of similar quality.
I have a flippin’ reel that spent at least a winter on the bottom of Cedar lake which was caught draggin a rig in the spring of 99. It isn’t about to win any good looks contests on the outside but it cleaned up nicely on the inside and has been my bottom bouncer reel for 10 years now. I just bought another used one and plan to get 10 more years out of that one. Hope that helps.
