Fishing is still pretty good.Crawlers have worked well for me all spring.Id fish from spirit lake to the harbor.Still plenty of 20 to 25 inch fish being catch.Good luck ill be out both saturday and sunday morning.

Sorry your a queens fan!The only campground im aware of is Fond Du Lac Campground.Its at the junction of hwy 23and 210.Right on the river. Most of the fish have moved downstream from there now.Boyscout landing to the harbor.The # to the campground is 218-749-5388 or 218-780-2319 but they dont take reservations. Hopes this helps.Fishing is good.Ill post a report tuesday at the latest.

My buddy fished monday never touched a fish in spirit lake or down by hwy 2 bridge.Nobody he talked to had a bite.Id look for clearer water maybe between bridges or in the harbor.As far as Lake Superior i dont think you can get out of the mud. Mud line has to be a long way out after all the rain.Im going to try to get out friday am if not before with Dean Marshall from Everts Resort.The fish are there not gone to the lake yet i guarantee it.

There is only 1 dam on the St.Louis river its in fond du lac
Minnesota power plant.

All the fish dont spawn at the dam.There are several small rivers and creeks they go up to spawn.Fish can be catch even below where you talked.Before my fishing partner died 2 years we always fished in the harbor to stay away from the crowd and did very well.Two months of good fishing yet to come.The fish have not left the river.Trust me!

I dont know what river you fished but the St.Louis river is closed to fishing from the 23 bridge to the dam for one more week!

Water temp. was 46-48 still cold.Things will only get better.

I like the David motel in Ellsworth. You can plug the boat in or unhook boat and go to town to eat.Walls are not paper thin like the Parks

Had an Quest only lasted 2 years. Went to Interstate battery to buy another Quest was told they dont want to sell them anymore because after alot of battery testing they only charge them about 80%.They said to buy only ProMariner Pro Tournment series. Had mine a couple of months works great but not cheap.Better than buying batteries.

Weekends will be busy for a couple more weeks.As fish move to the lake and the bite gets tougher the boats gets less.
Plenty of spots to fish without the crowd.I just moved when the crowd showed up.Bite is getting tougher but still lots of fish to be catch.
