I would hold off on Volds taxidermy in Rochester, I dont want to start anything with anybody…….But I’ve personally had a bad experience with them and a good friend of mine also. Just my experience though.

I totally agree with RHW. People don’t realize the impact they have by not releasing some of the fish they catch. Sure I don’t mind people cathing a few for a meal who wouldn’t, but at the same time you have to draw a line somewhere. Like when someone’s on a hot bite and they fish it one day and catch a limit and there back the next day with a few buddies. Well then their buddies tell a few people and it snowballs from there. Especially this time of the year when the females are full of eggs. Mr. Muskie and I seen it all winter long at the Zumbro, among other areas. CPR, the future of fishing

Was out at foster Arends tonight. It was all open water. Lost 2 trout getting them to shore. Saw one guy catch a nice 18″ rainbow. I think he was using a spinner, I was using a waxie on a little glo jig.

Made it over to clear lake in waseca on Wed. with my grandpa. Got there at about noon and fished til 7:00. . Pretty good day caught many species of fish. Caught some nice gills, the biggest one was pry 8″. Picked some descent crappies ranging from 8-10″. A few perch, 1 tulibee, and 1 18″ snake northern caught on a tip-up. Was using a small glo jig tipped with waxie for most of the fish, caught a couple on minnows. There was about 14″ of ice where we were at and just about everyone was driving out. Everytime someone drove by the ice cracked something fierce But there were a ton of shacks out their. All in all in was a great outing with gramps. Fished out of his Voyager so there was pleny of room.

Was out at Foster this afternon from 3:00-7:00, caught two 14″ rainbows One i caught on a tip up with a small minnow, and the other on a pink glow jig tipped with a waxie. Could see the trout suspended swimming around, but had a hard time getting them 2 bite. Also caught about a half dozen gills about 6″. After dark the trout really slowed down. Was fishing about 22′ of water.
    Good luck
