In Minnesota because outboards do not carry a title, you will only be paying tax on the boat and trailer. Be prepared to give a value mon the boat and trailer seperately. This is what I was told in 06′ when I bought one new in MO. It’s nice to save a good chunk of cash and not having to pay tax on the outboard.

He grabbed the Bass, took it off the stringer, it “twitched” and scared the crap out of him and of course he dropped it into the lake-on the end of the dock which is about 4-5 feet deep. We watched as the Bass slowly sank to the bottom. Within seconds a 6-7lb Doggie was doing all he could to get that Bass into his mouth. We dropped a rock in the water to scare him away-and it worked- he swam away with that 2lb Bass half way in his mouth!
The fish was taking an easy meal and keeping the water free of a rotting fish. Bad thing? I think not.
To the person talking of feeding turtles and comparing our Native Dogfish to Snakehead………two separate fish. The reason MN has great fishing is the diversity of fish they hold not because of the precious walleye that get stocked in the lakes.
I agree. Stocking of fish is a complete joke. If they can’t reproduce and thrive on their own they probly don’t belong there. Either the fishery is evolving too fast for the species or the species can’t evolve to adapt.
April 15, 2009 at 5:53 pm #768829OK, I will bite. Feeding the turtles is never a bad thing and I will say the same thing when the snakehead makes it this way too.
March 25, 2009 at 6:15 pm #762477Plenty of Eagles around right now. Go check out the triangle pub on main street, nice Irish touch and good food too.

Why is Tim wearing a white dress?
I am not that big yet and hope I do not get that big.
Does kind of look like you Joe, at least the last time I saw you in the front of your boat!
If your referring to my physique…that would be 190lbs of rompin, stomping, pure sexual satisfaction.

Well look who woke up from hibrination.
To answer your question, it was simply an identity crisis deal. And being the oportunist that Greg is, he took advantage of Tim in his weakness.
Its not my fault your slap fight woke me up.
August 11, 2008 at 7:13 pm #704996Bump.
Still looking for a Co to link with for LAX. You must have fished two of the events so far to qualify.

So the anglers may fish alone.
If I’m not mistaken isn’t the prize money like $250,000 for first place?
If they do that then the
State of Minnesota will have a great model for saving millions yearly. We can have the inmates on the honor system at all the state prisons and jails. Just ask them nicely if they please won’t escape and please don’t damage the facility or other inmates. No need for guards.Somebody is smokin crack if they think these guys can or would police themselves.
Your not even comparing apples to apples. Believe it or not at that level, people are actually very consious of the rules. Its not like Jim and Billy Bob’s multi-species tournament.
I could care less if they do away with co-angles in the elite series. There are plenty of other great circuts for that have co-anglers.
July 3, 2008 at 9:12 pm #697026If you like martini’s check out Oar Derve’s. They have great food too. I usually end up not having an entre’ because im stuffed from appatizers and dirty martini’s.

look who is climbing out from under his rock. Are you done hibrenating now?
I thought he was up in Alaska harpooning whales and searching for his inner-eskimo…
You guys are funny…I have evolved into more of a lurker I guess.
Yes, Hibernation is over because im leaving for Amistad in a week…Jealous?
February 28, 2008 at 5:04 pm #660059I don’t blame Skeet. Look at the great places they get to fish for bass. Blame B.A.S.S. for having the tournament at that location. It makes no sense to me because of the size, and there are clearly better places in Wisconsin to fish for bass. Miss River, Green Bay, Winneconne just to name a few.

What am I planning? A card.
Anything more is spoiling her and setting expections too high for the future.
Thats exactly my thought. I have in the past made the mistake of kinda going over the top for certain occasions but I have learned I am setting a bar that I have to meet and exceed easch year. So I think its better to do much less on the Hallmark holidays and maybe do a suprise here and there for no reason and theat way your not on the hook each year at set times.
I bet even buying cards can get expensive for you, especially whe you have to keep all 15 girlfriends happy!

If you guys buy roses, here’s some things to keep in mind.
#1. Buy roses that are mostly closed(pre-bloom). If they appear open and in full bloom they won’t last long. Pre-bloom roses will last twice as long.
#2. Keep the stem ends fresh. I’ll cut the ends when I get them home and then once again a few days later. ALWAYS cut them under water. A utility knife or sharp steak knife will do the job nicely. Don’t leave them out of the water after cutting. This can kill the rose quicker than you want.
#3. Keep the water fresh. When you change the water, cut the stems. I typically take 2″ off.
#4. The little packet that comes with the roses, it’s not there for you to conveniently toss in the garbage. Pour it into the water, it does help.
The last set of roses I bought for my wife, I kept alive for just over 2 weeks by doing the above.
At $60-80 per dozen, you should want to get the most for your $$$.
Just in case some of you have not heard…go to proflowers.com, the have some great deals if you order by the end of the week. Go the the radio icon at the top right and click on it, put on promo PSR. Two dozen roses for $40!
February 1, 2008 at 7:20 pm #650421Wow Thanks Guys!
I went out and a few beers and shots of Jose’ but am saving the real celebration for the weekend.
My birthday wish was for the first tow to come through Lake Pepin but all I saw were trucks driving around on the ice today so i dont think its going to happen for a while.
November 6, 2007 at 4:50 pm #622837Man, I was so scared when I saw we has the AFC West on the schedule. I do agree that maybe the NFC is turning the corner and The NFC North is for sure. Great Division matchups each week, I wish Favre would play 5 more years and my Vikes would get a real QB. Cant wait to see the Vikes at Pack this weekend…Should be a great Battle in the mud!
October 16, 2007 at 9:04 pm #617174John,
I don’t know if its the same article but I do remember reading one where they had documented smallmouth traveling 60-70 miles due to the fact that they like to return to the same spot to spawn each year much like a salmon does when it dies. The same article also showed how a largemouth may spend all summer on one stump (unless of course I catch him and take him for a boat ride).

There’s this guy who jogs by my house everyday. He wears grey sweats, a grey sweatshirt, and a baseball cap. He has long hair and he used to have a long beard. Everytime I see him I want to yell “Run Forest! Run!” I haven’t yet; but man its getting tempting. Am I mean?
