went out sat 17th 230-430…..very cold and fish were few

last weekend.sunday..fishermans road……dinks…gills…fished 10am-1:30….snowing and had 100 miles to go home and figured nothing to stay for

got on ice by 10:30 am today….quite a few out by the the time we arrived….caught a lot of gills (dinks)…and 5-6 bass also small………..maybe we left to early before the “bulls” started to bite, don was tire of catching the small ones………..maybe a different day……saw one guy with 8 or 10 gills on ice(personally would have only kept 1 or 2,but good to get the smaller ones out of there) anyone fish there today??

we will be heading over sunday for a day of fishing…..should be at fishermans road by 11:00 or possiblily earlier…..if you see someone 6’5″ wearing black bibs and blue coat it will be me…may be the guy doing all the catching

how thick is ice?

fished ambro slough north on landing…….noon til 430 we caught at least 100 gills/crappie/bass and 1 nice perch BUT size was the problem only kept a doz gills 6 crappie and the 1 lonely perch…..I am sure it was our last Mississippi trip this season(unless we hear the BIG ONES are hitting)

have plans sat. but may think about sunday……..of course the way they bit last sunday may have to look into trying a different “honey-hole”

got to “22” before noon today…had our choice of any spot cause we were the only ones there….first hole-first drop-first fish then reality set in…no bites for the next 11/2 hrs …nice day thou…watched a couple eagles,saw some planes take off ect ect…we caught 30-40 non keepers…left at about 3:30 when 2 other fisherman came to cover our post(whew) which we lived closer cause we would have been gone a lot earlier

slop bass we plan on coming up this sunday…I imagine will go to the same spot we met you at a couple weeks ago since we had such good luck…..will you be out sunday?

can’t make it up this weekend, but hope to next weekend. will be looking for Slop Bass’s report this evening.
