I know they are still short on CO’s but I don’t know by how many, they didn’t seem to have the exact numbers when I called.

You talking about the walleye’s right Lip? I know there is a waiting list right now for boaters but there are still plenty of ope spots available for the co-anglers. I know I’m on the waiting list and there needs to be about 10 more co-anglers to sign up before I’d be up

I know there are a lot of people out there that feel the same way I do, and I am sure there are some that disagree with too. I have been going up to Hunter’s along with many others on IDA for years now and love the atmosphere and everyone around there. The reason that I posted this was just to inform the people that do go up there and enjoy all that this resort has to offer of the situation at hand, and ask for a little support and help to try to keep a good thing going.

I’ve seen them before up at the pond, I believe someone makes them that goes up there. A guy I know up there has one I’ll ask him where he got it this weekend.

Hey Lip, What are you trying to say here, The only time I go in there is when it is too windy, rainy, cloudy, cold, or if it’s too hot, or if there’s a meat raffle, happy hour, or someone in there to talk to, otherwise I’m out there pounding the water.

Here’s some of our Saturday morning catch. The camera guy might have had a couple too many and cut off all of our heads. We did have a couple of smal perch in there also that inhaled the hooks

We had very good success out there. We had our best luck in 16-22 fow rigging with lake shiners and about 8 ft snells. We had all of the fish we wanted in the 15-20 inch range. We also had 5 or 6 over the 24 inch mark with the biggest touching 26.

Cannon is a good lake for eyes, French, Roberts, and Cedar are also worth taking a peak at, they tend to be more hit or miss.

Jack you sound pretty knowledgeable about this whole corking thing. I didn’t think you even fished that way ever.

Kooty, you need a new tackle box just as bad as I do. although it will help keep the hooks from rusting when your in the bar.

I’ve never fished at night up there, do you usually do better. For our crew if we don’t have our fish by noon it’s pretty much a lost cause the rest of the day after the drinks start flowing. do you just go for the weekend? We usually stay till at least Tuesday, it always seams the weather and fish cooperate better those extra couple days.

We did pretty good last year. There are usually about 10-12 of us that go up and we usually don’t have much of a problem getting enough fish to eat and bring home. The Otter is actually right up on the NE end of the lake, but there is also a bar on the south end that is a lot of fun, we usually close that one down, but I can’t think of the name of it How did you guys do?
