Finally got a chance to use my Lodge a couple of weeks ago for the first time and didn’t have any problems with the zippers on either door. Love the room I have in it and a Portable Buddy Heater is more than enough to keep it nice and warm inside. Lack of mesh nets is not a issue for me.

Keep them both. Hand for early ice and gas for when it gets thicker.

Is the $20 Eskimo Redneck sufficient?

With your height I would get the big Eskimo, (CH11). It is fairly heavy, but works better.

Or the two piece CH12. I went with the two piece.

Plano SoftSider Worm Wrap is a good one too. That’s what I use.

You aren’t going to catch a 30″ walleye casting from a public beach.

I’ll have to disagree with you here. Walleye was 28 inches and the Northern was 8lbs. Both caught off a public fishing dock at a local lake.

Reeds has some, was in the Walker location last weekend and they had a pretty good supply

Good to hear that. I’m driving the wrestling team there today and plan to kill some time waiting and spend a few bucks at Reeds. grin

The original swelling had nothing to do with the little knee pop I had.

My issue is/was Bursitis…My sports med doctor stuck me with a little syringe drew out the liquid in the bump, then squeezed out the rest..

I feel for you. I had it in an elbow several years ago and it’s not fun.

maybe it has been brought up and maybe it hasn’t I haven’t read every post.

What about doing a split season? 13 weeks of fall/ice fishing and 13 weeks starting on or after the MN opener? That way you can keep the format the way it is and yet you can get into other warmer weather species? I don’t know if FSN would allow it, I am sure it would take a renegotiation of contracts.

I agree with this idea too if it would be possible with the network.

Single Tackle Configuration. Anglers may use up to three single or multiplepronged

(example – treble) hooks on a line used as a single tackle configuration

attached to the end of a fishing line (Examples – crawler harness, quick-strike

rig. See pictures on page 17). Note: a single tackle configuration cannot be

used on designated trout streams and lakes.

    – The total length of the single tackle configuration from the first hook to the

last hook must be nine inches or less.

    – Anglers may use live, artificial, preserved, or dead bait that is lawful to use

    (see page 15).

    – This single tackle configuration is not considered an artificial fly or lure/

bait, and no additional hooks may be used. Adding a bead, blade, or

spinner does not make it into an artificial lure/bait.

So if it’s no more than 9 inches between hooks the yes it’s legal, otherwise no.

Plano 1098 Tackle Logic SoftSider Worm Wrap for ice fishing plastics then for open water season I transfer everything to an Outdoor Etc Sports Large Tackle Binder which has the rest of my plastics in. I also keep everything in the bag it comes in.

Schools up north are open and the temps are even colder and it’s just as windy but the metro schools are closed.

Yea, that is a joke. What gets me is everything posted so far is about the kids yet not one thing has been said about what us drivers have to go through. I can tell you from first hand experience it’s never any fun to be driving when the wind is blowing so hard you can barely see in front of you to tell where the road is or you get stuck out in the middle of nowhere cause the road is so drifted over that is sucks you right in the ditch trying to plow through it with the bus. So yes, it’s not all about the kids but the superintendent and transportation supe also have to take in to consideration road conditions and visibility for their drivers also.

I bought a small split-ring tool from Cabelas 2 seasons ago that work great for the smaller split rings a bunch easier than regular pliers IMO…paid about $16 but it works great!

It’s not really a “day off” We make them up at the end of the school year (in June) when the temperature is much nicer!

I thought there was like 5 days cushion built into the school year for days like this?

It will not need to be made up since it’s the Governor calling off school state wide. If it was an individual school district doing it then yes it would have to be made up.

I finally installed an ad blocker last week. I kinda miss those girls and their tee shirts….

Same here. I’ve had the adblock plus plugin installed on both browsers for quite some time now.

Little Atom Nuggies & Micro Nuggies and J&S versamites in red, pink, chatreuse, and motor oil colors primarily. I like the service at Sportsmens Direct so that’s where I usually buy most of my stuff from.
