Located in Oconomowoc. Lake Country with several lakes all within a few miles of each other and the Big Pond less than an hour away. Great opportunities all year long!

You almost feel guilty driving Justin’s Rig don’t you? So many bells and whistles on that FX! What a nice ride! Dream boat to test drive for certain!
April 25, 2015 at 8:42 am #1537843Just got a kicker mounted on my MX.
Does anyone that uses a tie bar have a photo they could post of how their tie bar connects to their tiller?
I’m using a Panther Tie Bar kit and it seems like I may need an extra screw or 2 other than the hardware that came with the kit.

December 21, 2014 at 10:30 am #1486608Congrats on the new rod! Sounds like you broke it in the right way!

As always….can’t wait for the next!
December 18, 2014 at 9:17 am #1485630I 2nd the Magic Eraser after owning a white Skeeter for 3 years.
November 18, 2014 at 2:44 pm #1474571Here is some great conversation comparing the WX1900 and the MX1825
Another valuable post is located here (but a bit older).
Where are you located? Might be worth the time to stop in at Skeeter Boat Center and take a look at both rigs up close!
November 17, 2014 at 7:12 pm #1474237Justin gave me a ring today from Chippewa Falls location and we ran some e-mail testing.
Turns out the failure to receive correspondence is due to MY e-mail service provider. We got things figured out and it just proves, once again, that SBC goes the extra mile to make sure things are taken care of right!
Sounds like Eric is going to sort things out with your livewell!
You’re in good hands!November 16, 2014 at 9:49 pm #1473915I want to say there possibly is as well. Sent 2 e-mails back in October and one yesterday.
In between, however, when I sent a text to Justin he was back to me in less than 5 minutes. I thought it was just me.
I’ll give him a call to ask if he’s received those e-mails.
November 15, 2014 at 7:00 am #1473513The news in Central WI interviewed this ‘brave’ ice angler and the head of the rescue team in Schofield:
Early Ice AnglerNovember 14, 2014 at 2:01 pm #1473375Thanks for the report Nicholas!
Family is from Point and will be out in the area Thanksgiving weekend as well. Good to know things are firming up there quickly this year.
While we might not be the first guys out there this season, they’ll be plenty of fish to catch..safely!
November 13, 2014 at 7:10 pm #1473119I will be mounting a 36 volt Terrova on the MX 1825, that I just got today.
Thanks Justin and Skeeter Boat Center, you are a pleasure to do business with !!Congrats on the new MX ‘ranger’! Post your photos on the ‘Let’s see your Skeeter Page’ when you can!
Changing screen names now?
November 13, 2014 at 8:41 am #1472857The Ultra Parka is the top of the line in Clam’s Ice Armor lineup. The price point is certainly indicative of the innovation that continues to evolve in the the manufacturing and production of their outerwear.
As mentioned in the previous posts the IA lineup came out a few years ago and the newer Ultra has taken into considerations the iterations that were produced up until then.
Comparable to a car/truck company coming out with a new model. Things will continue to improve overtime with input from those currently using the product and putting it through the paces.
Let us know what you decide to go with for the season!
November 12, 2014 at 8:14 pm #1472729I hear ya! Don’t blame you one bit on the LL front!
Cold and breezy one for certain lately!
Just made the trip to Chippewa Falls to get the boat winterized and buttoned up. Time to start preparing gear for ice.
Nag through the ice is a gem as well. Have a great season and hope to share some reports back and forth with you!
November 12, 2014 at 7:56 pm #1472721No such thing as a ‘dumb’ question! You’ve obviously put some thought into it.
I’ve informally had several discussions at various ‘local establishments’ with the bar keep, front desk staff, etc. and they’ve put me and travel partners on fish with some maps marked up on a napkins!
Local resources are all over..hardware store, bait shop, gas station, etc.
I HAVE found that they’re most willing to help and even get MORE specific on fishing locations at the point of purchase..i.e. booking a room, purchasing a dinner, etc.
“Oh by the way, we’re going to be doing some fishing locally and if a guys wanted to located a few {target species} where would be a good place to start?”
We’ve always gone back to points of information during our stays and graciously let them know our results.
November 11, 2014 at 11:58 am #1472165Nice fish Z! Didn’t see the photos on your LL post but those are some pretty looking Nag smallies! Well done!
November 10, 2014 at 3:47 pm #1471849Hey Doug,
Here’s a couple of resources to get you started in the right direction.
November 10, 2014 at 12:31 pm #1471785Just to throw a mindset question in there. What are you prioritizing?
-Mobility
or
-HeatThe thermal cap on the XLTC should be sufficient and then you can maintain mobility with the 4# less weight.
Follow-up with your decision and your decision reasoning. Very interesting post/question!
November 6, 2014 at 11:21 am #1470787I would personally stick to the 24V system and invest your money elsewhere.
Keeps excess weight out of the boat as well.
No problem slow trolling (0.7-1.2) with the bow mount for hours on Lake Michigan (don’t have my kicker yet) with I-pilot on high continuously.
What batteries are you currently running?
November 6, 2014 at 10:43 am #1470779Took delivery of my 2nd Skeeter purchased through the top notch staff at SBC (MX 1825) and couldn’t be happier…well no..I’m sure even happier when I get my 3rd!
