The Truxedo windshield cover is awesome and goes on and off with no problem at all. Just got one and love it!

I-Pilot! I have the foot pedal in the boat in case of emergency but have never used it. LOVE the remote. Don’t know how I would fish without it now. 36v Terrova
January 13, 2017 at 8:20 am #1665103If it were mine I would forget the tubes and just lay the rods where they land. However I would be inclined in making a handle support with a bunch of holes and THESE installed over them. You slide the butt into them and the fingers grab and hold the rod. It would keep the rods relatively organized, separated, and tangle free, the reels up off the floor, and allow you to place more rods in the bottom if desired. I’ve seen a couple bass pros do it similar.
*EDIT sorry, link didn’t work…go here…

This seems interesting! I have gone to using and making my own rod sleeves. It was really easy and not to expensive. After all the input I think the open box is the way to stay! I appreciate the input.
Thank you!January 12, 2017 at 1:27 pm #1664885I really appreciate the feedback. After more crawling around in really tight places that I wish I had someone a lot smaller than I, I did find access to go underneath. I’ve ordered the Cisco track and a good buddy of mine is an excellent welder and had some aluminum pipe that we will make into the trees. I’ll try to post pics if I get it done soon. Getting ready for an early April trip to Erie!!
January 10, 2017 at 10:21 am #1664097Ouch, I’m not sure I want to drill an access hole at all but it sounds like I might need too. I did talk with a rep from Cisco and he told me that I could use a 3M 550FC along with the screws and I should be fine. He said not to use Down riggers but I don’t plan on doing that anyway. I’m going to have to brave the cold and go look at the boat tonight to see if there is any way possible to get underneath it for bolts. I appreciate the feedback!
Thank youJanuary 9, 2017 at 10:37 am #1663758I appreciate that. Does the $1000 for the Traxstech include the downriggers? Or is that just for the trees and the track?
Also, did you thru bolt the track or use screws? I have no possible way of getting a plate and nut on underneath the gunnel.January 5, 2017 at 8:55 am #1662429Nice looking boat! What do you suppose that whole setup costs? If you don’t mind me asking.
January 4, 2017 at 4:27 pm #1662256Absolutely train with a whistle!
Same commands as above
1 to sit
multiple to comeJanuary 4, 2017 at 4:21 pm #1662250Just looking at this one and if your plan is to use the holder for trolling, I would be concerned with the drag of multiple rods on the (plastic?) base piece acting as a long lever possibly breaking and losing the all three rigs plus the holder. I could be wrong.

Found this too. It must be new.
http://www.scotty.com/fishing-
gear-equipment/rod-holders/rod-holder-tree.htm%5B/quote%5DI agree! I thought of that as well. Would make me nervous. I think I’ve decided to add the ranger hand rails and go with the RAM mounting system. Still expensive but what in fishing isn’t! LOL
January 4, 2017 at 1:36 pm #1662187I would definitely want one on each side, that’s what’s killing me about the cost of the Traxtech/Cisco stuff. If I knew for sure that this would be the boat I would fish out of for the rest of my life, I probably wouldn’t be so hesitant. I think I’m leaning towards getting the Ranger style rails and using either the Scotty or Ram rod holders, makes me nervous not knowing exactly where to put these yet as it’s a newer boat to me.
I will have to look at the vertical one from Scotty! Looks interesting!
July 22, 2016 at 12:52 pm #1630397Sorry, didn’t see one for sale on here like that. Thought the bearings question was a little weird for a trolling motor. lol
July 22, 2016 at 12:51 pm #1630396They did use those things but still had lock nuts on the bottom. Wow what a pain! Had to get my kid down that has smaller arms than I do and he barely was able to get ahold of all the nuts under there! Got it done though.
July 20, 2016 at 1:44 pm #1629998No this one is coming off of my boat I have for sale. Putting it on my new ride
June 2, 2015 at 9:28 am #1548137I appreciate the information! Looks like I might have to get the new chip. I like that it has most of the lakes I fish anyway and I wouldn’t have to switch out cards going into Iowa.
June 2, 2015 at 8:53 am #1548131I was told I would have to update both units to the most recent update but I just read that the update on the HDS7 gen2 was causing problems with the navionics or lakemaster card? I’m also having a heck of a time updating the units?!?! I can’t seem to get the update loaded on the SD card correctly or something? I download, unzip and then save to the card but when I put the card in the unit to update, it won’t recognize the update right away and I can’t seem to get it to update?
June 1, 2015 at 3:08 pm #1548044Awesome! Thank you guys for the input! I have a new question but I’ll start a new topic on that next.
June 5, 2014 at 7:31 am #1414399I appreciate the info.!! I was worried a little about the high water but from what I’ve heard, Pathfinder was SUPER low so maybe the new water will help? I appreciate the reply!
November 8, 2013 at 2:25 pm #1204738I actually called our Game warden about this exact topic because I can only imagine how much fun it would be!
He informed me the same thing Daryl said, but agreed it sounded like a lot of fun. Took my son down on the Missouri and pulled him on a tube, he forgot his baseball bat so he was trying to catch them with a net. He got hit more times than he caught the flying monkeybutts though, so did I while driving the boat. Those things make a mess when they find the inside of your boat.August 21, 2012 at 1:30 pm #1093667I did get an answer from one of our Conservation Officers here. He told me what I already figured,,,, it’s not a legal practice to take the fish with a shotgun. It doesn’t fit the “proper tackle” which makes sense. I figured it would be too good to be true if we could. I can’t imagine the fun that would be!! As for snagging, that was a no as well. I might strap my boy up though and pull him on a tube through them with a baseball bat and see if he can fix his swing!! lol
August 3, 2012 at 1:40 pm #1089412Leave Elwood the way it is. I think there should be more lakes added to the slot limit.

June 22, 2012 at 6:12 pm #1078108I know this is an old posting, but I just bought a used 77’ish shorelandr trailer as well and I’m having a b*tch of a time trying to find a hub. Finally went to the correct place and they said it is a special hub for that era. Just wondering if you found anything out on how to be able to upgrade to the new “standard” size hubs?
June 4, 2012 at 8:53 pm #1073594I appreciate the info. I will have to mess with it and see what the deal is. I think it was the overinflating part.
May 25, 2012 at 6:48 pm #1041794Never fished up there, maybe I’m a little slow but what are you mad about people releasing fish for?
Seriously not trying to stir stuff up, just curious. Are there an overabundant amount of fish in that lake of that size?
