Thanks for the input. In this day and age it is hard to believe that there is only 1 published fishing report in the last 2 weeks on Leech. One of the guides filed a report on his page. Nothing on the chamber of commerce page, or any of the other 15 guides that have websites. The most successful guides in this or any other state tries to update their reports daily, or at least weekly. How are fisherman supposed to get excited to fish when they see no results posted? I personally would never hire a guide that shows no results on their website. Spending my hard earned money when i have no idea if the guide knows what he is doing? Not a chance. I am going to fish hard for 2 1/2 days and figure it out. Leadcore, pulling spinners, jig and minnow, slip bobbers, and pulling cranks at dusk and later. I will let you know what we figure out.

Thanks Joe. It was a cold weekend up there. 13″ of ice where we were. Too cold to move portables around much. Fishing was slow. It was nice to get out though.

Lone Tree is on the north side of the lake, just east of the center of the lake.
There are buoys that come out from the shore.
Your lake map chip should show it.

Portavilla will move you around in portables. They will put you on fish. Call them early to get out in the portables.

They are hitting all day with dusk being the best.
Tinglers worked best for us last weekend.

Went up with two other guys Friday, came back yesterday. Fishing was steady Friday and Saturday until about 7 Saturday night when it started getting very cold. Easily got our limit Friday and Saturday with only one fish after 7 on Saturday night. Everyone we talked to said the same thing. It should get good again after this cold snap. Caught nothing big. All were 16-18 inchers, and fat.

If you are coming over to the Twin Cities to have this done, do yourself a big favor and stop in and talk to the guys at Minnesota Golf Academy in Eden Prairie. It is 5 minutes from the Golfsmith in Edina. They have the best technology in Minnesota. They fit every major brand, including Ping. They have Trackman machines in there as well as a simulator. They have the best teachers in the state working there…nationally known. It won’t cost you a penny to talk to them. Very down to earth guys. between there and the Edina Golfsmith, you will be getting taken care of very well no matter which way you go. I’m a 3 handicap trying to get to a zero, and I think you will be very grateful after getting fitted for clubs.

I have a 2004 with 187K miles on it with no repairs needed. Just regular maintenance, and tires. I am afraid to trade it in. I could not have asked for a more reliable vehicle.

I have the Lowrance H2O unit. Chews batteries faster than anything I have ever owned. The screen is so small it is hard to work with.
I also have the Navionics app on my I-Phone. It is great and getting better every year. Bigger screen, easy to use, cheaper.

Unfortunately, the computers don’t take into account what happened against Arizona St for the Badgers. That loss will haunt them for the rest of the year. The Gophers are a feel good story. They have come a long way, but still have a ways to go. Badgers by 10-14pts. Would love to see the rivalry competitive again.

Thanks for your input. I have a line on a couple of used ones. This will be the upgrade for the year on the fish house. Addicting habit we have.

The outside patio at McGovern’s is by far the best spot. Very short cab ride or long walk, but well worth it. And across the street is the new rooftop patio on top of Cossetta’s. Two great spots.

When you have 6 starters batting .235 or less, I would not blame the manager. He is not the one swinging the bat. I would start looking at the general manager, who got rid of 3 good outfielders in the last two years, and has not figured out how to bring pitching along thru the minors to get them to the Twins in one piece.

Any of the smaller bays are holding a ton of panfish. Sunnies can be caught all day on waxes, grubs, crappie minnows. They eat anything. Just find weeds, 10-12 feet deep or even shallower and your kids will have a blast.

Ribs work well if you have enough room to store them.

Depending on how extensive the coverage, it should be 600-900 for an individual, and 1100-1600 for a family.

Otto has a concussion. Sampson has the knee excuse…best thing for the program. I think Tubby finally realized who should be playing. It’s only 4 1/2 months after the fans had figured it out.

I use one. I bought it new 4 years ago. Very easy to use. I have had no issues. It fits inside of my 4Runner very easily.
I wanted a portable that could fit inside the vehicle. It is great for one guy, good for two, and too small for 3 unless 2 of them are little kids. Easy to heat. Most days I can heat it with a lantern. Really cold days I use a buddy heater on low. I have the bench seat, which I modified with a thin piece of aluminum so the seat cushion does not fall between the supports.

If they are just stickers, a hot hairdryer usually softens them up to be able to peel them off.

Thanks guys. It will make planning a little easier knowing we have good ice. Now it’s up to me to make the fish cooperate.

Bought one last year at Mach 1. I did not buy the cheapest and did not buy the one you can start from anywhere in the world. Just bought the one that would start up to 300 ft away. I have to unlock doors manually for my truck once it is running. It has worked great! Less than $300. Best investment I ever made. truck was outside all last winter. I would start it after getting out of the shower in the morning. 10 minutes later I was hopping into a warm, defrosted truck. I do not plan on taking it with as most new truck and cars offer it as an option.

You can dial 911 from any cell phone. Even inactive ones or your old ones. I know people that travel that keep their old phone and charger in the car just for that reason. They keep another at home where it is handy. When we disconnected my parents home number, we found out they had been paying to rent the phone since 1962. Had not had the phone since the 70’s.
