thanks for the replies i got a thursday and friday off of school so im going to hunt then. The late season stuff is a yes a will definitly be in there after rifle season. I would think that any good hunter would get into a spot before 4 when it gets dark at 5:30 and i see deer chasing at noon.

the dementions were like 5 by 6 we used roofing nails to attach the rolled roofing. We had the platform from are old tree fort and a lot of 2x4s and we did alittle dumpster diving. I think we probebly put around 150 into it maybe alittle less. the rolled roofing cost the most it was like 60 or 70 i think. It was not hard to build at all my dad bought the stuff and i built it in sections.
we assembled it when we got up there.October 27, 2010 at 3:09 am #90249nice looking stand hear is one i built for my grandpa 2 years ago the deer dont seem to mind it and with the rolled roofing on the sides it should last awhile

October 10, 2010 at 9:39 pm #88223Went up on the youth hunt to sit with my cousins me and my brother took turns bow hunting. We end up getting 1 small doe sry no pics. My brother hit one with the bow but i think he hit it 2 far back and could not find it. I saw a couple the only one that came into bow range was way to small to shoot. Weather was really warm in the afternoon and the skeeters got bad. All in All we had fun we will get back after em and my brother will keep trying to get his first with bow. Hey u get some and lose some i went through the same thing. Goodluck the rest of the season everbody

February 2, 2010 at 1:13 am #76465Great job! I was out friday night after school with my brother and cousin and for only my third time out we made three sets and I called in three yotes my cousin shot at two but missed I should have just shot the one but being a good cousin I let him shoot. I would hunt more sets but when your 17 you do not have much of a choice if you can stay out all night or not. I hope to at least one this year.Good luck to all.

December 5, 2009 at 3:19 am #71322Me,my uncles and grandpa just sold some coon in southern wisconsin all i have to say is i did not expect for prices to be as low as they were we sold 1 at 12 dollars and the rest were 3 to 7 dollars. I did have one rat caught in a coon set and got 4 dollars for him. This is my first year setting a line beside for some cage trapping in previous years with my grandpa but I am not going to let low prices slow me down.
October 21, 2009 at 12:44 am #64089congrats on your first deer it sounds like you had to work pretty hard for it to. The first one was the toughest for me but it is something that you will never forget. Hunting is a great sport and I hope that you will never give it up.
October 14, 2009 at 1:50 am #63253we did pretty good on the youth hunt 3 of my cousins each got a doe pretty small but for 2 of them it was there first. My brother and my other cousin saw a few small does but let them past. I was bowhunting and saw 7 does and two small bucks could have shot 2 does but they were just yearlins all in all pretty good weakend.

September 16, 2009 at 12:28 am #58511This will be my frist year doing a line. I have done some barn trapping and set some live traps for coon but i just went through trapper edu. and I am going to run a line with some 160s and footholds.I am also going to try to catch some rats
December 5, 2008 at 12:00 am #44885We had a very good season are group of 10 took 9 deer only one buck which was a 8 point. I did not get out early season bowhunting but i am going to try it late season. Good job to everybody that got a deer and for those of you that didn’t there is still the doe hunt and bowhunting.
