Make sure the trailer sits level when it is hooked to your truck, too low in the front puts extra weight on the front tires, too high loads the rear tires.

I would just like to see some good science that clearly shows any of these actions will make a difference in the spread of AIS. Last week I had a DNR guy at a ramp tell me birds do not spread these seeds, his statement was “If ducks spread AIS the only lakes affected would be on the major flyways” We all know of small lakes and ponds with no access for boats that are full of Eurasian Milfoil if not birds then how? The only thing I am convinced of is this whole movement is driven by the desire to make lakes private by making it so difficult to access them that we will simply give up and go somewhere else, you only have to look at the gating of lake accesses in the Cities as proof of this.

Suzuki’s got it right. Time for anglers and boaters to start participating in the conversation. Sounds like the Shutz lake association and the City are supportive of helping Archie. Maybe we could thank them for this? Activism is more then just vilifying LA’s for their actions. We only have a handful of LA’s that don’t get it, not hundreds.

How about posting the emails for those people that can address these issues at the state level here and then each and every one of us do our part by voicing our opinions to them.

ya i hear ya! Im all for fishing tourneys but they should not be allowed to use public landings! If they do they should pay way more than they do for the permits

Its an outrage that they can take up all the space so they can try and make money.
    Its crap!

ya ya Im sure the fisherman in the tournys are all about raising money for some charity
    My

Some write all there expenses off on there taxes, and get to do all of this on our dime and use up our landings just dont seem right!

The St Jude Tournament does not use the parking lot for their boat trailers, we park in the old Fair grounds lot.

I just switched to the LSS-2 and there is a difference, I was always somewhat unhappy with the usable range with the LSS-1, the LSS-2 seems to have fixed that. Seems like a clearer picture as well. Have only used it a few times this spring so really not an expert but so far I am happier with the 2.

If he is still getting the same RPMs and the prop is good the problem most likely is the hull or in the loading of the boat. Something may be causing him to get more slippage such as too much trim, or something putting bubbles in the water in front of the prop.

A really good to get organized is to join a Bass or Walleye club that is affiliated with a state Federation. In the bass world the Minnesota Federation Nation and the Minnesota Federation of Bass Anglers are the players in Minnesota.

I am pretty sure you can network that unit to a sonar unit via an ethernet cable and share the sonars transducer. Would doubt there is an update to change your unit to a standalone sonar.

Oh, I thought baiting was done to attract deer to your stand so you could shoot them and food plots were to attract deer to your stand so you could shoot them. I’m just saying.

Try the San Diego Jam Knot I switched a couple years back and have had great success with it. Easy to tie and very strong.

I have had good results by running a second ground wire from the depth finder to the anode plate on the motor. Another option is to run this wire to the skeg on the Minn Kota. The theory I believe is that you use the water as a ground for the noise.

Well it looks like the gods are smiling on us I will wait until Wednesday the 20th to make the final call but things are looking good for the Tournament to go off as scheduled. If you are thinking of getting in do so by midnight on the 22nd, after that no more entries will be accepted. Watch for more updates

IMO people would be more accommodating and cheer on competitors of an actual Bassmasters event as opposed to some local club or smaller tourney.

You obviously didn’t go to the BASS event on Minnetonka several years back, the anglers were treated so badly BASS vowed never to come back to Minnesota and so far they haven’t

Not really in the Hudson Area but the best I have seen is Bony’s Fiberglass Repair in Rochester. He is an authorized Ranger repair shop and has all the flake colors on hand.
