My older Helix G1N is SI/DI, compatibility won’t work for 2D per Humminbird.

If you have the g4n model networked via hub to the g1 you will see everything the g4 does

Humminbird 360 to locate the structure/fish then live scope to drop it right in their face! 😁
Tossing musky lures all day, get a 10 inch screen, looking down at a 8 inch screen is going to frustrate you. Side imaging is great. Find a fish drop a way point on the mark and circle back and cast at the fish or troll over it.
Side imagining will make you want to pull your hair out until you figure it out and then you will wonder how you fished with out it, live scope as well.

3rd river is kind of a big slew. Yes some flowage but not a lot. quite a ways form the main lake. there may be other landing to go out of. try the first landing by the campgrounds just north of the Mississippi that should get you out to the main lake if you are hunting divers.

Don’t go out of that launch if you don’t have a mud motor. It’s garbage.

Brand of cutter doesn’t matter. Yes the frame is more heavy duty, but you want to research who makes the gear box and what is the replacement cost on that. If your going to leave it outside all the time dont get a slip clutch. They rust together

Perhaps I’m not understanding meter specs correctly.

If an auto ranging meter lists 400amp AC current limit, will it measure down to say 10-20 milimap? I understand accuracy will depend on price point.

What are you testing at that low range? Flame sensor for furnace?

If your trouble shooting a PLC or 4-20ma circuits fluke 773 is a great tool, expensive but worth it.

I 2nd the 87v, all I use at work unless I’m taking amp readings.

    Fieldpiece sc 660. Or a fluke 374

Save your money with the Klein, wont last or be accurate. I love their hand tools but their electrical measurement and test tools are garbage.

Well decisions been made. 1-8 twist and I just filled out the paper work for a varmintor 4.0 suppressor. Anyone looking to purchase a suppressor I highly recommend dealing with Dakota silencer. The whole process took about an hour.

I’d like to be able to stretch the barrel at the range and hunt as well. We are planning on using savage small shank pre fit barrels. Will be able to swap out the barrel and bolt face and change the caliber of the gun.

Can’t decide Randy, 1-8 is what we’re leaning towards. I’ve been looking at the varmintor 4.0.

Jp has one with 5k rounds down it. My upper will be here Monday.

22 nosler shoots. My buddy has one and we had sub moa groups at 100 yards in 15 min, banging 380 yard 5×5 gong 5 minutes after that. The published velocity is a stretched a little as what we loaded was 135 fps under and had primer pocket blowout.

Thanks for posting that randy, the esp ones say they block out anything over 90db.

I don’t mind muffs for at the range but I’ve tried wearing my walkers out hunting and it just doesn’t work.

I’m looking at getting a pair like this. Going to schedule a hearing test and invest in something. I know I’ve got some loss, I don’t want to be deaf in 30 years.

The especially ones are double the price I was hoping someone had some experience with either.

I figure if I can drop 1000+dollars on guns I should maybe invest in some hearing protection so I can still enjoy the outdoors with my ears. I’d hate to miss out on sitting in the dark and listening to nature while waiting for the sun to come up.

I did read about the crimps, but thanks for the reminder.

I’m starting with .22-250. Then .300 rum and .260 maybe some 30.06 and .325 wsm

I’ve got a lot of once fired 250 brass, mostly hornady, couple box of rem and winchester.

Do you guys reload the nickel plated brass? Is the harder casing going to ruin my die’s? I’ve got 125 nickel plated winchester cases that I have put aside till I gather more info on.

I wanted to take this HTR (built by HSP) home with me in the worse way. At the time, I may have been willing trade my wife for it.

I want more details on this!

Check out Murphy Precision, and look at a 30 moa rail for your build. The 30 moa rail will work well with either the PST or the Gen II Razor. They have a web site and break things down to the different actions. A call or email there will also get you all the info you need.

As far as your 6-24×50 PST you have either 19 mils total vertical or 65 moa, can’t recall what you had.

As far as the Gen II Razor you have 33 mils total vertical

A 30 moa rail will give you either approx 30 moa or 8 mils of useful adjustment

On the PST you will gain close to a full travel then
and on the the Razor you will benefit in the additional travel.

I would not get anything smaller then the 30 moa rail, don’t buy cheap, money is well spent on a quality rail.

    Cheers

I see that you have a 4-16×50 PST
that would be either 21 mils or 75 moa of total vertical.

With a 30moa rail, should I get an adjustable cheek piece on the stock?

I am in the same boat. I am looking for more accuracy. Hard to find people to get a load worked out and run a couple hundred to keep on hand.

Does anyone know of a company/person that does this locally? My 300 rum rounds came from a guy in texas that has recently passed away. I was hoping to have him work up some 22 250 rounds.
