Very personal question and I think only you need to answer the question about her ability to handle the topic and firearm.

I commend you for taking the time to teach your children about firearms.

My two boys (3 and 5) are very curious and I don’t think either one is ready – yet. Girls are often more mature

    Love it –

Grouse – we should still connect up North at the hunting land.

I am the same way – and cherish the older ways of doing things while embracing technology when it makes sense.

It is always good to get back to basics and keep things simple

Taking time to appreciate the simple things makes life rewarding. Take some effort these days.

The challenging part about dealing with a road emergency is that it is never predictable.

First, the blow out will create a sense of urgency about where you are going to pull of the road and SAFELY be able to get at the problem. My wife was amazed that I found a driveway to get off 169 – changing on the shoulder in holiday traffic is very scary.

Then – tools. The truck jack will likely be buried under gear – which means having to unpack the truck. You will also need to know where it is and how to put it together. Sometimes just better to have a tow kit with an extra jack, lug wrench that fits different kinds of nuts, flashlight, extra pieces of wood to help get a little extra leverage or lift, spare gloves and something to wipe your self off when done and a flashlight ( I actually carry a headlight as well) . I also carry coveralls in the “dirty months” as you will be crawling around a little bit. Nice to get back into your vehicle clean.

Tools for towing as well as tools for boating – I have both (one set in the truck and one set in the boat)

My kids were playing in the lawn while I was changing the tire – 35 mins we were back on the road.

Be prepared and you don’t have to be stuck.

On my old tandem trailer, I blew out the front one that took out the rear one. That is why when I ordered my new trailer I mounted 2 spares. (welded tire mounts)

My wife asked – ” now what happens when you have another flat tire?”

Actually thought about the second spare – going forward. Good idea. I trailer a lot less these days.

    Also –

Need to register trailer with MN – apparently – after 7 years of no registry, they fall off the system.

    This will be fun.

Not so fast – I am a Bass Fisherman so this issue gets brought up a lot.

first, it is a small world and life is short – so if I guy doesn’t want you around the end of his dock – leave.

With that, guys are constantly firing jigs into the sides of fiberglass boats, leaving hooks on wires and ropes and generally not leaving the dock as they found it.

keep it clean, be respectful and avoid the confrontation. If you don’t know how to skip a jig don’t practice on somebody else’s fiberglass boat. Fire a few at your boat – and see how you respond.

    Enjoy

    It is just easier.

I think they have come a long way – and have adjusted. Those are pretty flexible hours.

    I found this interesting.
Better be off the lake before they close or you’ll be leaving all your stuff tied to one of those docks with who knows whom or what going thru your stuff.

In the rental fleet is seems like they all poop the bed and the control boards go out – $500 repair – I just throw them out and buy new $400 ranges.

Odd that they are so expensive to repair / replace. life cycle seems like 8 years or less for anything made in Korea and China. Fridge, microwave and ranges all seem to go equally as fast.

What would you use if you had to grease 30 zerks on a daily basis?

Bulk grease – type of gun?

A buddy asked me this – just this last weekend.

    Get a surf rod –

Other inshore rods would require you be in a boat.

That way you can get after them!!!!

    rapala on braid.

Snap it thru the weeds and it will clear – braid makes this possible

Or….fish a plastic jerk bait – texposed like you are bass fishing the slop.

As soon as the river opens is great – once it gets dirty with run-off – it really slows down.

The dates vary with the timing of Spring.

The key to long term management is allow netting, introduce invasive species and non-native fish species and ban night fishing….

    Simple Plan.

Is the fun house mirror the one you have over your bed? I have heard that they can make little things look bigger, etc.
