River Rat,
I just happened to have a few minutes this morning and decided to look over some of the posting boards. SO when I lucked up and saw this one, I figured that I better comment on it.
The Legend 3000 is different from the LPG2000 in the following ways:
A.) That the Legend 3000 has three additional menus that are used to control a Temperature Alarm. These menus are called the (#1) Temp. Alarm, (#2) Upper Temp., and (#3) Lower Temp. The first is used to set the mode that the temperature alarm works in (Off, Inside, Outside, and Both). The Upper and Lower Temp Alarm menus are used to set the upper and lower temperature alarm points. In this way an alarm will sound whenever the water temperature changes to fall within or outside the selected upper or lower ranges (or both).
B.) Temperature on the Legend 3000 is displayed in tenths of a degree (Examples: 54.5 F, 24.0 C).
C.) The Legend 3000 has a more powerful transmitter – Legend 3000: 500 watts RMS / 4,000 watts Peak to Peak, LPG2000: 400 watts RMS / 3,200 watts Peak to Peak.
Other than that, the Legend 3000 has all of the other features of the LPG2000 (even the Super Users Menu Group).
