Quote: I have $50K into my boat. Why would you want to skimp on the batteries. Don’t put the cheap ones in and expect all will be good for years to come out on the water.

La Crosse, WI 54601April 1, 2013 at 5:19 pm #1158141If your rig needs new batteries this spring, Give the guy’s at Skeeter Boat Center a call and eliminate replacing yours every few years with Odyssey Trolling Thunder. The PC-2150 and PC-1500 are the “UPGRADE” option on all of the Skeeter’s at the boat center and here’s why.
Marine Battery Benefits
Consistent Power
ODYSSEY® batteries maintain consistently high voltage over a long cycle life.Fast Recovery
ODYSSEY® batteries recharge faster and more
fully than conventional marine batteries.Long Cycle Life
ODYSSEY® batteries routinely deliver up to
400 deep cycle (80%) discharges.Longer service life
Forget replacing batteries every year. With 3-10 years of service life, ODYSSEY® batteries save consumers time, money, and aggravation.Longer cycle life
70% longer cycle life compared to conventional deep cycle batteries — up to 400 cycles at 80% depth of discharge — high stable voltage for longer periods of time.Longer shelf life
Can be stored on open circuit (nothing connected to the terminals) without the need for recharging up to 2 years or 12.00V, whichever occurs first.Faster recharge
The highest recharge efficiency of any sealed lead battery on the market — capable of 100% recharge in 4 – 6 hours.Mounting flexibility
Non-spillable design — can be mounted on any side in any position except inverted. Takes up less space in the boat than competitors.Vibration resistance
Design protects against high impact shock and mechanical vibration — a common cause of premature battery failure.Extreme temperature tolerant
Operating temperatures from -40°C (-40°F) to 80°C (176ºF) for the 34M-PC1500 and 31M-PC2150. No need to winterize this unit — leave it in the boat!Totally maintenance free
No need to add water, ever!Improved safety
US Department of Transportation classified as a ‘non-spillable’ battery. No acid spills, no escaping gases. Drycell design with resealable venting system.Superior to spirals
Compressed flat plates eliminate wasted space — 15% more plate surface area and up to 40% more reserve capacity than popular “six-pack” AGM batteries.Better warranty
Limited 3- and 4-year full replacement warranty — not pro rated.See ya on the water, unless your batteries are shot…

September 19, 2012 at 6:26 pm #1099850We just finished up the 2013 Skeeter catalog shoot last week on the new models that just rolled out. Darin from Skeeter will getting the photos set for print then updating the website. He said it would take several weeks to complete all of the color design combos for the build a boat on the Skeeter boats website so be patient on that one but your dealer should have the color chart chips with all the updated new ones. They also have the build sheets and pricing available with plenty of pictures for viewing as well.
May 22, 2012 at 2:32 pm #1070079Ha Ha Jess, I’ll admit I was just a little bit skeptic at first partnering up with this river rat on the pond after he told me that he’d never owned a Minnesota fishing license or ever seen Mille Lacs. But after a few days pre fishing and the repeated requests to go to a pitchin spot I kept reminding him that we are rigging and his title @ SBC was a “Rigging Specialist.” Forget about laying on his back under a Skeeter dashboard hooking up electronics. We’d get it done. His biggest frustration was to throw back all the big fish and box the ones that were barely longer than our baits for this tournament. Quite a change in tournament strategy from the river game. Don’t ask him for the winning spot as he has no clue as to where but you can bet I’ll be taking him back to Mille in 2 weeks for the next MTT battle.
One things for sure, I was glad to be in that WX-2100 Skeeter when that Mille wind was whippin up a big blow. We had it all locked down thanks to Eric’s solid rigging of my Skeeter. Now we’ll see if he’s a troller for the next one…April 26, 2012 at 8:30 pm #1062951http://www.skeeterboats.com/products/11/22

April 12, 2012 at 8:58 pm #1058438The Skeeter ZX-2050 was in production from 2001-2007 was 20’4″ length and thinkin 95″ on the beam. Had rear livewell saddlebags both sides and a 300 rating for 3 years when the 2 stroke 300 was available. The WX-2100 was available from May 2007 and is still in the Skeeter line up with a 300HP rating. The 2100 Is 21’long with a 97.5″ beam with the rear jump seats that the old 2050 did not have. The WX-2100 was made as a replacement with improved stability and rough water handling for big water. This is the current “Flagship” in the Skeeter WX line up.
I have owned several 2050’s and 2100’s. Feel free to PM me with any more Q’s???

March 8, 2012 at 5:01 pm #1047445Wade, Here’s more information that you will ever want or need to know on Odyssey batteries.

Check out the specs on them at http://www.odysseybattery.com and compare them to some others.
As for real world usages and applications, I guess if the military puts them in ther M1 Abrams tank there’s a reason and they will do just fine in my Skeeter…March 8, 2012 at 1:33 pm #1047324Here’s some info on specs for the Seard Diehard batteries that you have been running. Sears was contracted with Odyssey batteries for production.
http://www.odysseybattery.com/documents/US-TT-RS-006_0611_000.pdf
The Odyssey brand is a Military/commercial grade battery and comes at a premium cost up front. The longer service life of more than 400 cycles past 80% depth of discharge will more that cover that cost and keep you on the water longer. Most other batteries start losing their efficiency after about 30 discharges. Many of the boats that we have been rigging at Skeeter Boat Center have been “upgraded” to Odyssey’s after the customers have been educated on the benefits. I have been running them for 2 years now and they have performed for days on end with out recharging when we were unable to have electrical hook up “Rainy Lake trip”
and run for days on end.February 25, 2012 at 11:46 pm #1043022Yamaha 21P Saltwater series 2 will get you that with the Yamaha F250 4stk.
