As an avid bass fisherman who prefers to fish plastics i know the senko works very well. I’m just saying i havent noticed a change in how many fish i catch without it. i have noticed the money i save by going with a cheaper plastic that, for me, works just as well. The reason i called it garbage is because no matter how i fished it..it fell apart..sometimes before i even caught a fish on it. i’m sure someone could tell me how to fish it better though..

its about a 5 minute walk down to the lake. to get a boat on it i have to drive a mile to the launch. never fished the lake much but did good icefishing this winter and caught a few nice bass through the ice which made me think i hadnt given this lake enough of a chance or i just wasnt fishing it right….trolling motor only so it saves on the gas and dont have to deal with recreational watercraft.

never understood the point of putting a big boat up on plain….whats the hurry? if i had one it would never be up on plain if i could even afford for it to leave the dock…

Your not alone. 2 weeks ago they were on fire in the prescott area. Now i am struggling. The combination of high water and post spawn patterns are making the bass hard to find. They just arent in their typical haunts. One would think you could go down the rip rap with a beaver or tube and get bit….they’ll come around.

Are u kidding me? U call yourself anglers and don’t even know the rules? Pool 3 from prescott down is open year round. The croix opens next weekend.

alot of the fish on the mississippi and st croix river have not spawned. no matter what the weather does it seems the fish in this area always spawn around bass opener…at least for the last 10 years anyways. they just started moving up last weekend.

went down to prescott last night for a couple hours and found a mix of smallmouth and largemouth that have moved up into spawning areas. put 9 in the boat.

The company im working for is putting it together. a mega mover company out of michigan is doing the move and erecting it. it will not be hoisted with cranes but with some sort of cable hoist system and it will be very interesting to see this accomplished. thanks for the feed back and i will keep you all updated!

I worked on the construction of the new twins stadium and gopher stadium and would like to be part of the construction of a new vikings stadium. I dont think they deserve a new stadium though. its alot of money to spend to just watch them lose..because thats really all they do!

I live in hastings and have made the trip before. I want to say there is 4 no wake zones from here to stillwater located at prescott, kiniccinic narrows, afton and in hudson. They are labeled by white buoys. Not sure what all the rain might have washed into the river but with the low water, debri really hasnt been an issue. as far as water depth is concerned the st croix runs alot deeper than the mississippi but is not marked with channel markers. after presott you can run the middle of the river all the way to stillwater. after stillwater it gets a lil tricky. with gas prices the way they are its alot cheaper to just launch in hudson if you plan on fishing but if your looking for a peaceful scenic trip than you should enjoy it.
