I’m between Sturgeon and Bear River, so a bit more North. I’ve got 3 different bucks on camera so far and several does. My first year up here and my Deer Camp/Camper is all set. I’ve caught 2 wolves on camera, but they don’t seem too bad. We will see…
September 26, 2023 at 7:37 pm #2226491The property I’m buying is about 4 miles East of the Viking.
Thanks for the feedback, guys. I know the wolves are an issue, but this property is also for the family to enjoy year round. Deer hunting will only be a part of it. With my wife JoJo having passed away and losing my lease, I want to spend more time with my kids and grandkids.
May 20, 2022 at 4:54 pm #2125881It can still happen when the genset is running. Try the drill trick and you may be surprised.
May 19, 2022 at 7:41 pm #2125686You’ve lost your residual magnetism. I’ve had this happen when it sits too long. Simple fix…read through this:

The drill fix works and is easy.
May 16, 2021 at 7:06 am #2037141Don’t forget, you can buy your trailer registration for 3 years. Makes it much easier!
August 16, 2020 at 8:53 pm #1965670Wow…I have never seen these before. Never in all my years in the woods, and specifically not on this lease, which I have been on for 6 years.
July 30, 2020 at 10:23 pm #1961758I bought these last year and love them. Paired with a medium weight wool sock and I’m good as long as I want to stay out.

November 1, 2018 at 11:15 pm #1807222Barrel Condoms! They’re great…Keeps the glue from the tape off your barrel and easy on/off. Shoot right through them!

November 1, 2017 at 5:26 am #1724524I’ve seen it where the rings were not tightened equally and that shifts the scope tube slightly one way or the other. Be sure the gaps are equal on each screw.
I also had a scope be bad from the factory and just would not zero because the adjusters were bad.
October 31, 2017 at 7:44 pm #1724484White Castle and Old Milwaukee.
That will give you the sh!ts…
We do venison chili Friday night, Steaks on the fire Saturday night and burgers in at the bar Sunday night. Lunches are brats and hot italians in totillas.
October 31, 2017 at 7:39 pm #1724483Also be sure that the scope is aligned with the barrel. Both for windage and elevation.
September 28, 2017 at 8:37 pm #1717720Our group hunts 183 and we have 5 permits so far.
My wife and my son did not get one. That’s ok, hopefully we can get on a cadence of one of us getting one each year rather than everyone getting one and all of us losing preference…
September 22, 2017 at 9:19 pm #1716723This is why I always like to look at these complaints. The media has to hit the high points and can’t really show how retarded these idiots are.
I think the case will ultimately be dismissed or decided against them.
September 21, 2017 at 9:36 pm #1716504Here is the actual complaint…It looks like it was written by a first year law student. And I’m no lawyer…LOL
Based on the complaint, they are just all butt-hurt because they can’t continue to harass hunters, trappers and fishers (their words, not mine…LOL).

Lighting Tips
Docking lights and/or spotlights on boats should only be used near docks or shore – not on open water.
Check navigation light sockets and wiring for corrosion.
Boats on waters subject to U.S. jurisdiction may also display navigation lights under current federal inland regulations.
LED lights must not impact navigation light visibility.October 17, 2015 at 5:37 pm #1571594Well, we now have a new visitor to the back yard…Another brute…

September 30, 2015 at 9:06 pm #1568510My deck is on the second story, with a downhill grade. However, Eden Prairie *might* frown on taking a deer. As would my neighbors, who on one side won’t let me shoot the red squirrels even after they chewed through his siding and the other side who doesn’t like when anyone shoots one of the 10,000 chipmunks running around.
September 24, 2015 at 11:06 pm #1567523Heading up north to place cameras on the lease this weekend…but this guy is living in my back yard in Eden Prairie…

June 2, 2009 at 12:23 pm #781061My guess is one of two things:
The adserver is hanging while pushing ads or the database is having issues. It may need re-indexing or rebuilding.
I’ve had this happen before on sites that I manage and it usually comes down to these two things.

September 21, 2007 at 11:25 am #609932Take a closer look at the motor. Not all VMAX motors are fuel injected. Mine (2003) is a carb motor. They also made the OX66 (fuel injected) and the HPDI (Direct Injected).
3 different technologies. Of the 3, the HPDI is the most fuel efficient, with the OX66 second and carb third.
At WOT, they all burn about the same amount of fuel, but at mid and low range is where the fuel injected and direct injected shine. The added advantage of fuel or direct injected is startability. A carb motor is harder to start, where the other two should pop off instantly if kept tuned.
As mentioned, the FI and DI motors will use less oil.
The flip side to all of this is the carb motors are pretty much bullet-proof and cheaper to work on.
