For what I have seen the new Lowrance chips look to be quite accurate. I never did get why Johnson outdoors stopped making chips for the Lowrance units. I would think the profits on loading data on a $3.00 Se card would out weigh the lost sales of a few huminbird units.

I have been using Shimano reels for quite some time now. Tried other brands with big claim to quality but keep going back to the Shimano great reel for the $ and like the front drag best. to me it just seems to be smoother than the rear drag.

Has anyone tried this on any of the new super lines? Like the Nanofill. my bet would be the line is to slick and would not lock in on itself like a mono would.

I have been using a double braided nylon. My rope is extremely supple and I have NEVER had a knot or bad tangle. I have a length of 150 ft and just store it in the front storage underneath my Waterspike. When I store my rope I simply layer the rope inside my storage compartment.
The trick here is to always layer the rope so you are pulling it off the top. And don’t worry about coiling it up.

No doubt the WX or the MX will be a huge performance jump from your current ride. I was wrestling around with the same debate last spring. I decided to go with the 1900 and couldn’t be happier. I went with the 200 HPDI and get good speed and a great rine in the rough stuff. With the 9.9 kicker and a terova 101 the fish ability is the best I’ve ever owned. And I was an old Ranger guy. I think the wx1900 is the best fit for what you described. I fish walleye and salmon and this boat ROCKS! Good luck and have fun in the new skeeter.

Wow! Awesome looking rig. A true lake of the woods wave eating machine. now if it only came with a swing bow so I could fit her in the garage.
