Hi Tom, Pretty good. Seemed like everyone caught fish. If I remember right somewhere around 118″ total won it and 26.5″ was the big fish. Come on down next year and fish it. Hope to see you again this black friday.
I’ll get 16 pieces of a mix of grilled and fried chicken from Cub. That way all I have to do is warm it on my grill. Also I’m bringing a couple of card tables.
I was out today and the river is down some with much less debris coming down. But the water clarity is still very bad. Still not much of a bite going on, I got skunked. But the good news is after replacing the CDI unit on my 30 hp Johnson it ran like a top.
I was out this morning and will “second” what everyone else said about pool 2 right now. My take from today is, fish not biting, water like chocolate milk (could first see a chartreuse crank 6″ down), trees still going down along with tons of smaller stuff, current running at about 4 mph and the level was at the top of the ramp at 494. Though it was a nice morning to be on the river.
Howdy Tom, Nice to see you back in the area. You’ll be glad your on pool 4 right now because pool 2 has been dead. Good luck this week. Hope to see you soon. Gary
You’re right Brian. It was nice getting out up there for a change. What’s amazing is there was only about three weeks we weren’t on the river this winter.
I was there yesterday morning Mike and there was thin ice all over the place. But it seemed to be the type that would have melted by today or at the latest tomorrow. I might call Rootski to see if he could run by after work.
Congrat’s you guy’s, very nice fish. Ski and I were out too but didn’t do as good as you two or Mike and James. After talking to Mike today I think we were fishing to fast. We did miss a bunch also and they seemed to be biting very short.
I have a small propane grill I’ll bring and I’ll think of something to throw on it in quantity. Plus anyone else can use it too. I’ll think about something else to bring also.
