There is a small motel right behind the Sawmill, I can’t recall the name but it’s cheap and clean…the Sawmill is a great place to eat and get a cold one!

I was told they are limiting it to 2 tournaments on a pool per day max and one per town (Launch tie up issues), species doesn’t matter…June 7th is the annual Pooh Bear tournament and the 21st is the host club’s tournament on Mille Lacs. We thought about doing it on the 15th of June but that is fathers day as well as the Slippery’s tournament. The last weekend of June is Lake City’s annual Waterski Days weekend and there is just to much boating type activity to hold a tournament that weekend. Please keep the comments coming as this will help us make a decision going forward! Thanks everyone!

I have some major ruts by mine that will make it a real pain to hook up. I contacted the DNR on Monday, there will be no extension of the deadline. Midnight March 3rd is the date they gave me!

The weight of the line is the same, it the pound test rating of the outer shell that is the difference! Personally, I wouldn’t buy the junk…I spent $200 on Suffix leadcore last spring only to have to replace it all by late summer, the lead breaks inside the dacron and then pokes out through it….right out of the box I thought the stuff was great, better feel of the lures and greater depth with less line but it went to hell fast! if they can fix the lead breaking issue, it will be a great product but until then…save your money!

Typically take these guys to Canada and the can catch all they want under corks without to much effort…hoping thats an option for them on Birch too! Thanks again!

Maybe the walleye teams that blanked should get a cut of the refunded money too then!

Should be thrilled as hell to get anything back after a day with an empty live well!

I have a pair of wild river rods that I love to use for long lining cranks but being medium lights I wouldn’t pull boards with them. Very nice rods! I can’t give you any history with the eyecons as I don’t have any of those in the arsenal yet!

Army corp website says April 9th is the average ice out date but that goes back to the late 1800’s before the nuke plant was in operation. Latest recorded ice out was May 20th.
