Had a really nice buck chasing a doe at 60yds, I tried everything to get him to stop or turn, he wasnt leaving his girlfriend.
This was about 8:30 this morning.
lots of scrapes more than I seen in the last few years.
It should be a great week for bucks!!!October 30, 2012 at 2:39 am #125762Thi has got to be fate, I was just thinking I should meet a girl and move to Utah. Did she have a big rack? the elk was it nice and wide?
December 29, 2011 at 8:14 am #117250Im going all in on young wolf. It sure looks like its eating well. Spent a lot of years hunting big timber north of the divide in Minnesota seen every color of wolf from all black to nearly all white. This to me is a wolf.
Happy New Year every one.

February 5, 2010 at 5:50 pm #76757Surely there is room for two and I could help keep the dogs at bay while you set the decoys and double bull blind.
February 2, 2010 at 4:30 pm #76525Not sure yet, but somethings just not right. I will agree though certainly a high fence deer.

Fortunetly I have this all to myself. Although it is a bit North of my house. So glassing is out. I will wait awhile I really want to see this head gear. When I saw him he was pushing 5 does around. He wouldnt listen to anything I did. He knew what he wanted. Sure was impressive. Rob maybe I will call on you we have talked about this spot before in PMs its north of your office. Maybe we could go together if you have the time.
January 25, 2010 at 9:54 pm #75896A PERFECT TRIBUTE TO YOUR FRIEND. IM IN THE SAME SPOT YOU ARE. READ MY POST PUTTING MY GIRL DOWN. I ALMOST MADE IT THRU WITH OUT CRYING. MY ABBY GIRL IS THE BEST FRIEND I EVER HAD. I RECEIVED LOTS OF HELP HEAR ON THIS SITE, IM SURE YOU WILL TO. HER DAY IS COMMING SOON. ITS LIKE CUTTING OFF MY ARM,I WOULD DO THAT IN A SECOND IF IT GAVE HER A BIT LONGER TO LIVE. ALTHOUGH SHE HAS BEEN RETIRED FOR YEARS SHE STILL GETS EXCITED WHEN I BRING OUT THE GUNS. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE THIS HARD.

January 20, 2010 at 1:47 pm #75672New to archery, are these common? I ve heard about them havent seen or done it yet. I did see a Myth Busters where they where trying to do this and they never did get a Robin hood. Even with a five gallon pail full of arrows and a machine shooting the arrow.
January 19, 2010 at 5:59 pm #75633GOOD TO SEE YOUR BOYS IN PHOTO. I SURE MISS TRAPPING. CONGRATS. THOSE WILL MAKE NICE HATS.
January 13, 2010 at 4:54 pm #75295I have a feeder in my back yard. I live in White Bear Township. I start feeding in October, and all winter. Love to watch the deer and our friends of the forest floor come and enjoy thy bounty. I once had four does that came in like clock work. The feeder was empty they looked at the house as to say HEY WHAT GIVES. I walked out to the garage opened the back door they ran about 20 yards waited for me to fill the feeder and came right back. I also mixed in some alfalfa pellets with the corn.
At night I would open my bedroom window and I can hear them smacking their lips.December 29, 2009 at 10:27 pm #73986I dont see that at all. I see a neat lady holding an assume deer, A moby buck. Take it for what it is a great deer. Let Leanard Lee Rue the third decide if it is a bad pic. (he was a very famous outdoor photographer)
Thanks for sharing Robpaul

December 23, 2009 at 8:44 pm #73407Way to go Ben. I have a 16 month old we watch deer hunting vids together and I taught him to say big buck. cant wait to get him in the woods and on the water.
some of our freedoms are at stake, we all need to come together and protect our rights here at home while the brave men and women called to serve their country help protect our country over seas.
Please lets keep the soldiers and their families in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season.
Want to have a great feeling of giving???I bought a soldier a cup of coffee and shook her hand and said thank you. She was leaving for Afganistan and was very grateful for the coffee and the hand shake. I wish I could have done more but that is all she wanted. I sure felt great after that.
I know around here we say MEERY CHRISTMAS AND THATS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.
GOD BLESS ALL OF US.

I would say NO it is never too cold to bow hunt. I have hunted in -22 below straight temps (not windshield).
It would be warmer with the windshield factored in right????
TOUGH CROWD ROB.
December 10, 2009 at 5:14 pm #71838NOT TO SOUND TOO DUMB. BUT THE AREA I HUNT HAS MANY RUBS ON TREES THAT BIG AND BIGGER. DOES THAT MEAN THE BUCK I SHOULD BE WAITING FOR IS AS BIG OR BIGGER.

December 4, 2009 at 5:57 pm #71263I would like to share an update about my gal ABBY. I only do this because the response was something I could have never dreamed of. Some of you sent PM’s and thank you all for those. ABBY is now staying at my parents. I have sports with my boys now and between basketball and hockey the wife and I are pretty busy. ABBY’s breathing is getting harder the cushings is making it difficult when she gets excited to breath. Staying at my parents she has people around all the time and she gets let outside more. I visit her as often as I can but it is getting harder for me to leave when I go there. She wants to come with me when I go. I always cry all the way home. I ask GOD to take care of her. I have received a referal for a vet in Maple Grove that does house calls. I was hoping to keep her till Christmas but its not looking good. I just cant watch her gasp for air anymore.
Thank You all again for your support, nice to know there are guys out there who understand what I am going thru.

November 19, 2009 at 10:12 pm #69379WOW!!!
I never dreamed of so much support, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.
I have yet to make it thru the Rainbow Bridge. When I think of her and doing this I sob. Mybe Im just a bit sensitive but we had some great days in the field and duck blind. I would bring my guns out just to clean and oil them, she would jump around and bark and run around the house she wanted to hunt. She was a machine in her day. And thru my divorce she was always at my side, she knew when I needed a hug. Damn this sucks. its like losing one of my parents.
Your thoughts and kind words are helping I knew I would find help here.
ABBY and I thank you again.
Im sure I will post after she has gone. Im glad I took lots of pics as she was growing. I have a whole book of memories. Has anyone done the cremation thing please let me know.paul
