Hey Chad, 1 1/2 inch will work on thin , but the mount has a push button release lock and 1 5/8 inch would be best for clearence of the lock..Or just the 1 1/2 inch and file a little on two sides for clearence would be fine also…Sorry for hiding guys just been busy and I havent had much time to relacks….

I have actually seen a few 3 legged labs around, The dogs themself seemed to be just as happy! Your dog will be happy with 3 legs as long as you learn to cope with his situation.
I am sorry to hear of the mis-hap and I hope for a speedy recovery.

You can tell when she will bark only at you in such a way that is different then when she barks to bark, If you get the time to spend with her during training that will also help.
Control over your dog is one thing but when she feels free enough to talk back when she feels she has the right to will bring a bigger intense bond between you and your dog.

I actually hated Labs untill she came along and set me straight, she did a great job of it, she got sick and I ended up getting another one…
    Take care ..Joel

Soundds like she is high strung with some good attitude.. Its her way of telling you she needs something, maybe a little more attension… I had a little black girl, she turned out to be my favorite , she had such awesome personality I would bring her out to go swimming or such I would tell her it is time to go, she would just look at me and and bark ( trying to tell me thats unfair ) or when she needed something like a bone..
Personally I learned to like it , in the wrong situation it can be very anoying , but as being a dog and not a rock its kind-of nice to see…Personality
Training classes ar a big help for your dog to learn and respect your commands and obideance , were she will learn to settle on command .
Best of luck to ya! Joel

I would wait till the young one is out and crusin a bit ,so you will have a little more time to spend with the pup and not to overwelmend with all the new things on your plate …I have a 3 week old little boy and a 11 month old lab , a old dog , I dont have my own place but over all its great and can be very overwellming at times…..
