Put away open water fishing gear. Winterize boat. Get excited. Take out ice fishing gear. Start auger. Get more excited. Drive to lake and realize you should have not gotten so excited.
Thanks for the suggestions. Those are what I am looking for. Specifically I am looking for a spot where I can leave my boat in the water at or within eye shot of my camp site. I don’t mind roughing it, but to have a site where I have either my own dock or just a place to tie it to shore and have possibly running water/electric would be ideal. I want my cake and eat it too you see.
Atleast I have a piece of crap. Yours doesn’t even qualify as crap. The price was right though. You paid more for new blades then you did the auger. Why dont you stick to what you are good at.
Thanks. The guy had it set up for bowfishing. Getting rid of the two rear platforms but keeping the front for the wife to sun tan on. I figure it let’s me fish without the nagging. However, I could get nagged while fishing. Might have to rethink this one.
Thanks all for the tips. I will wait till the show and see what they have to offer. I just cam across a special package on the Vexilar website. A 50th anniversary FL-20. It has a bunch of gizmos and gadgets. Anyone have an input. Worth the extra $?
Thanks James. Do you know if they have any deals there or if everything is full price? I know what kind of flasher I want but I have some time till the hard water is back so I can be patient.
Thank you Brian, I will heed your cautions of the river. I know they can be tricky as well as a little dangerous. I will take your suggestions. I have heard a lot about pool 4 and look forward to going out there. Good Luck fishing Brian Thanks again -Bob
I hope everyone had a great xmas. Thank you for all the advise and tips. I got some great suggestions as well as problems that can exist with flashers. Got a Gander gift card for x-mas and I will be fishing in style shortly. Thanks again and happy fishing -Bob
