Dragging is my favourite technique. I drag against the current and find I catch more Walleye that way. I also modify the technique for when I am anchored just upstream of a potential Walleye hole. I cast to the bottom of the hole where the bottom rises again and then very slowly pull my rod from 8 to 11 o’clock keeping the bait near bottom. No popping or jerking the rod. Works very well for me.
If I had to choose between the two teams I would have to say the Packers but really I am a Bears fan. I am from Pembroke on the Eastern part of Ontario that borders with Quebec. The waters I fish the most is the Ottawa river. The fishing is ok here with the occassional Walleye over 4 lbs. Bass can grow large here. I have caught Smallmouth over 5 lbs and have seen a couple Largemouth over 10 lbs.
