Awesome fish worm. I took my brother out this year and he hooked into a 30.5. Only wieghed out at 7.5 though as it had just spawned. The river is really a great place to fish. Been more into Saganaga though this year, so only made it out a half dozen times or so. Have a good one, Junky……

Howdy klh. Yes the season is the same as the opener. As far as favorite times of the year to fish it, mine is early June. Weather is a little better than May, and the bite is usually on. I fish Spirit Lake and lower that time of year. Spinners and bottom bouncers are the ticket for me. Good luck, Junky………..
