    The bite is getting better.I actually gotout on sunday for a while and between two of us we had 5 nice eyes out in front of the bar below the dam.Motor oil with gold fleck was the ticket.Grass was not bad on the west side of the river.Those that have been anchored up on the short wall have been getting nice saugers with a few eyes mixed in.One Eyes have been proudcing lots of fish.

    River is still open and they are still hitting.We will be closed on X-mas day but will reopen on Fri morning.

    Just a correction,the Ramp fee is $20.00 per year and we do have the new passes.I was out trying some back water gillin
    with little success so I decided to try for some eyes and it paid off.Boated 20 fish in a little over an hour and kept 2 for the pan.The open water fishin continues to be good below the dam.

    The landing is open and the fish have been hitting.With the way the temps are suppose to be this week we should be good thru next weekend.

    YEP!!!!Seemed like all summer long nice gills were being caught.

    The grass is not bad now and it continues to get better every day.Ringworms and tails are working well.If you haven’t fished the river alot you may want to use jig and a minnow.The saugers around here have been running around 2.5 lbs.The eyes have also started to show up in better numbers.

    Will not be around a Saturday but almost any wing that you will hit has been holding fish.The Wing below the float has been good on pool 10 and also half way between the float and the wing,fish the break.The ringges ane working.

    Thanks to all who replied to this post.I know that I’ve been offline for a while but this evening I had a VERY GOOD conversation with James Holst.The issues at hand are resolved and hope that all of you will forgive me for not keeping you up to date on the lower pool action.Eagos and attitudes get in the way and it should not happen(And it was all mine) but we are all human.Again I APOLIGIZE (we could use spell check here).In addressing the negative post on this form all I can say is that here is a copy of what I PM’ed this person (Everyone that veiws this is more than welcome to voice there opinion on this) (If this is who I think it is.You had better come in and talk to myself or my wife,prefferably to the both of us.Or else drop it.
    This is a bussiness do you walk in all bait shops and stir up there minnow tanks? I don’t.I also recall of telling you of other bait shops in the area that may have the live bait that you wanted.)

    The afternoon bite at Lynxville has been better.The firecracker ringworm has been working well as have green/yellow bucktails,and as always any color down here as long as it is purple is good.

    I’ve had good luck on purple/white ringworms.

    I really have to agree with ecnook or better known on the lake as “Yank Parker”.The fishing was excellant.James is a very knowledgable guide.I do plan on making this a yearly trip.The thrill of catching so many nice fish in one nite was fantistic!!!!!!!!!With all the fishin I do on the river on pools 9-10 I have never caught so many quality fish in such a short time.We boated 37 fish that nite.My arm is still sore from that,but it is a good pain.Thanks again James for a great nite of fishing..
