I am feeding black oil sunflower seeds on the ground and have 6 or so squirrels and 2 resident rabbits as regular visitors as well as the usual cardinals, chickadees and blue jays.

So I sat in the dark for a while listening to the snowplows doing their thing, which seems to be relocating the snow from the street in front of my house to the sidewalk in front of my house! Hard to believe they can throw the snow that far traveling at the posted 25mph speed limit. In that there is no penalty for snow left on the street, but you can be fined for not shoveling your sidewalk, I am wondering if that is the reason the plows are traveling at speeds approaching mach 1! Are the city fathers capable of such a nefarious revenue raising ploy?
