Either McFarland sucks, or no one wants to give up their secret fishing holes on the north shore?!

Your story hits way close to home for me. I just finished my chemo therapy regimen to treat lymphoma 2 months ago. The doctor visits, chemo and surgeries alone make your head spin. It takes an incredibly strong woman to stay with and take care of a man who is going through cancer treatment. Cheers to you, Billy and the many years the two of you will enjoy together. toast

Aaron, going through Dave Ramsey’s financial peace university has changed my life. I was able to pay off 25 thousand in “bad” debt in a year and a half! Of course I made the decision to sell my 1 year old 2013 Lund pro v 1875. Broke my heart to sell it, but debt free living is a goal you have to work towards and that boat wasn’t helping. The thing about his program is you will have to retrain your thinking. I always thought I can just finance things I didn’t need such as toys thinking I can make the payment therefore I am fine… Dave’s philosophy is “if you don’t have the cash you don’t buy it”. He encourages investing after debts are gone and his savings principles are a good too. When mortgaging your house Dave encourages no more than a 15 year mortgage. It’s hard to not go out and finance new fun toys, but I did pay cash for a small 16’ tiller that gets me out on the water. I encourage you to take financial peace university! You will not regret it.

You should check in to a provisional patent like mentioned earlier. That way changes can be made to the product. Then turn around and talk to some of the local universities. They are always looking for senior projects for engineering and business majors. UW stout is close to the cities and a good engineering school always looking for new projects.

Randy I like what you wrote about catching 200+ walleyes and only keeping 9. I believe more fisherman need to practice this form of fishing. I keep about 12 walleyes a year, I have to add that I fish about once a week. If anglers put catch and release to practice on Mille lacs and similar waters I assume that the fishing would get better. Everyone needs to remember future generations of anglers. Not 5 years from now, but 50 plus years from now.

You guys make me laugh! In all seriousness I was also offered a 77 merc cougar that’s been parked for 15 years. I should have mentioned I already said no the offer. I just wanted to make sure my no was the right decision.

I have had two F 150s. A 2000 with the 4.6 and now a 2005 with the 5.4. My 2000 went to 210xxx miles before I sold it. It had a spark plug blow out of the head for the 3rd time and I was sick of fixing that issue. My 2005 was purchased 2 years ago with 54xxx miles on it. I have had to replace the IWE (wheel end for 4 wheel drive) on the drivers side, but it is an absolutely great truck. Plenty of power to pull my 17′ boat and a very comfortable ride. I would have no issues about buying another ford pickup.

Fish blood, that’s what I’m going for, any specifics? Where did you add aluminum and how did you do it?

I own a 2013 pro v 1875 and absolutely love it! This is an upgrade from my 2004 pro v 1800. And the ride difference between the two is huge. The 1875 is more stable in heavy chop. It’s ride is smoother over big waves and drier too. A hige difference is big wake from river boats the 1875 seems to be more forgiving coming out from behind these big boats. I put the pro package in mine so I have the under console drawers which are very nice to have. I also put the jump seat in it to give me a casting deck for the wife while we musky fish and extra seating when we bring people out. It seems this boat rides way better than my last pro v so I’d say spend the money and get the pro v over the impact. Good luck on your decision making!!’

I owned a 2005 tracker pro guide v 16 with a 50hp mercury for 4 years. I fished 4-6 days a week. Tackled mille lacs and leech and even an mtt event. They are solid built and handle big waves well. I now run a lund but if the budget doesn’t allow it id totally run a tracker again. Good luck in your decision making!

My favorite part was the guy on cedar last night who lives on the lake in a row boat with no lights on after dark. Wonder how many walleyes he kept???

Don’t let any of this bother you. Jesse you run an awesome league. It’s a lot of fun and I will be back to fish it this year! Can’t wait it seems the winner changes weekly and for me it’s just fun to get out and fish against a great group of guys!

The transducer is 16″ from the motor on the right side of the boat. The prop spins clockwise.
