All,
It’s getting closer! I am confirming my reservation today for 3 nights, Fri-Sun with Thursday and Monday for travel days. Remember to order a flat of Canadian crawlers a week or so in advance. It’s a good idea to wash the dirt off and put them in bedding. You can thank me later!
I hope to see a bunch of you at the Sportsman!
TuckDecember 4, 2017 at 10:38 am #1732636OK All,
I just spoke to “Jenny” who handles the groups over 30 people. She says that the rooms are still reserved for us at $45/person-per night. The number to call is 218-634-1342. If you get any comments from the front desk gals, Jenny said to drop her name. I’m going to make my reservations today to get them going. We will want Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st and leave Sunday unless you want to stay longer.
Any questions, let me know. I left my name and In-Depthoutdoors as a reference. I just found out you do not need to hold it with a CC, they just want to know how many of us are coming.
TuckOctober 27, 2017 at 12:14 pm #1723612I have silver dollars from the 1800’s that I thought were worth something. Turns out they are worth the value of the silver.
October 27, 2017 at 11:58 am #1723597Trappers Landing on Leech Lake has all that you are looking for.
October 27, 2017 at 11:54 am #1723589Oh, and I use a leader of 10 pound floro. if your lead line is new you can take 3″ of lead out, Make the beginning of a half hitch, like tying your shoe. Slide the leader up into the sheath where the lead was and maneuver the loop down over the area where your leader is inside the sheath and pull tight. You will never be able to pull that leader loose, and it slides through the eyes like a dream! The older your lead line gets, the harder this step is to perform. I prefer 10 foot leaders.
October 27, 2017 at 11:43 am #1723588I was fishing lead on the Croix yesterday and limited out a little shallower than the depths you are talking. I have 18# lead on a line counter reel. I go by feet, not by color (But I do know it holds 5 colors) In 16 to 20 feet of water I run out 80 feet of line for Flickers and jointed Shad Raps. I ran jointeds yesterday because I was competing with a zillion shad and wanted my lure to stand out in that crowd. That is my exact set-up and it has worked for years.
September 13, 2017 at 9:07 am #1714972Bald Eagle is fine. Also consider Hudson Gun Club.
Grouse
I second this! And you can have a beer after!
They have 50, 100 & 200 yards to shoot. It gets busy as the season approaches.September 11, 2017 at 8:43 am #1714522Krugerfarms will continue to get a lot of my money!

September 11, 2017 at 8:34 am #1714511Back to OP point, for those who were killed by terrorists I hope they rest in peace and I think and pray for their families. The attack of 9/11/01 was a horrible thing that I wish had never happened, but the overwhelming patriotism, unity, and reslience shown was truly 100% American.
Well said!

(I know nothing about the satellites) but this happened to my H2O once and I let it sit on the deck…for a long while and it eventually came back. Not sure if it will work on yours Buckshot.

September 5, 2017 at 9:13 am #1713650All done for the year. Cleaned up the Warrior yesterday, charged batteries, changed lower unit grease and put it in the back of the pole barn for hibernation. I put a lot of hours on it this summer and had a good season, but it’s time to change seasons.
My condolences.
September 1, 2017 at 9:16 am #1713176Well he has been here forever and you have been around long enough. I don’t expect you to know him personally but his name is sorta recognizable. Alot like BK & James.
Who is BK??
September 1, 2017 at 9:10 am #1713175They do…Seven Clans Casino in the town of Red lake, however not many go there. Wonder why?
Thanks for the clarification. I learned something!
August 31, 2017 at 11:07 am #1713011I wouldn’t buy it, but wouldn’t be offended either.
my personal opinion if a guy is worried about how the money is used and what not don’t go to the casino.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe Red Lake has a casino. I do believe that Mistake Lake may have helped them in re-building the lake with $.
Again, what they do with the walleye is their business. I just don’t want to deal with any overharvest issues on our dime again.August 31, 2017 at 10:44 am #1712994How much <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>walleye did you buy Dave?
I refuse to comment, I’m having enough trouble dealing with Mille Lacs
Best quote of the day right there!
August 31, 2017 at 10:34 am #1712983If you are at all crafty with PVC, they would be easy to make. Thinking of doing that myself for cats and sturgeon. I like the way you can deploy lines across the back of the boat,
August 31, 2017 at 10:30 am #1712982It was still our money and help to bring back the lake. The whole lake. That’s all I am saying. I guess what they do with the lake is their biz. I would hate to see their hands out if something like overharvesting due to commercial fishing ever brings the lake down again.
I am not saying it will happen. Just saying!August 31, 2017 at 10:24 am #1712980WHAT! Doves get extra protection in my yard.
We have some of those huge European doves in the yard. I can say the thought of beer can dove on the grill has crossed my mind..
