was out again this morning and got a dozen perch in the 9-11 in range. 2 crappies 11-12 inches. and a handful of 8 in bluegills. we had about 6 inches of solid ice on Anglers.

Got a mixture of nice gills, perch, and crappies this afternoon. my dad and i are hoping to get down there bright and early tomorrow morning. good luck to everyone

I won a PVA tournament there last week with some nice largemouth. I’m fishing a MBAA tournament this weekend an am expecting the largemouth to be spawned out and tough! The smallmouth have been post spawn for 3 weeks now and the bite has been almost non-existant. They should be close to a summer pattern and will be in a normal pattern for the rest of the summer. i havent been to okoboji yet.. but it was a pretty hard walk on Big Spirit

went to Anglers Bay on Monday.. we were there for like 4 hours but only got 7 keeper perch.. you gotta sort through tons of little ones (4 to 6 inch).. caught most on small jigs with wax worms and a few on a ratso.. hope to get back out sometime this week before school starts again!!
