We are starting to see the ice fishing pick up after the past couple weeks being a little slow. Walleye and northern pike fishing has been decent especially in the morning and evenings. We are hearing lots of reports of people marking fish, but struggling to get them to bite. After a couple weeks of clouds and fog, hopefully the sunshine helps pick up the bite.
We are now seeing ice thicknesses around 18 inches in Creel Bay and more in most other parts of the lake.
Tip up fishing for northern pike has been most successful using sardines or smelt, while walleye and perch have been most active on Buckshot and Forage Minnows tipped with a minnow head or wax worms.

I just called them today, Dec. 8th, about my charger not working for a brand new out of the box VS825 camera. Checked the battery last night, it showed 40% charge. Left the charger on about 10 hours overnight and it showed 50% charged this AM. Green light stayed on almost continuously. Every 20 seconds or so it would blink RED. “Mike” said I would have the new charger by Wed/Thurs. We’ll see? I thought there was a “Marcum” only forum, bit I don’t happen to see it now.

Off Shore boards are what most guys use. You can convert them to Tattle Flags yourself, w/some wire and springs available at most hardware stores.

Silicone Spray.

My local Fleet Farm has been stocking them for about $25, in dirt. You’ll need to change out the bedding if you’re heading for CA.

A piece of brazing rod would work. Be carefull about improvising w/steel acc’t of the rust issue.

I stayed at the Hillside Motel in Ellison Bay about 3 weeks ago. It was $75 w/tax for a king size/2 people. It’s not anything fancy or real modern, but they do have cable TV. Gregory

Page 22 of WIS’s 2012-2013 Fishing Regulations booklet:
“Conservation wardens performing their duties may enter private land at any time. Wardens may also seize as evidence all fish taken or possessed in violation of the law, and any equipment used in connection with a violation. Wardens do not have authority to enforce trespass laws.”
I believe CO’s have also entered people’s homes in search of violations. How they get away with this, based on the ‘private land’ wording above is open for discussion?

I have the Terrova. It works fine with my Lowrance unit. However it did go out on me this past summer. Local Serv Ctr replaced it and it works fine again. Serv Ctr told me there is a 3 year warr’y on the whole unit. I wouldn’t own a bow mount w/o the built in ‘ducer.

W of Point is Jct. City, N/NW of of Jct. City is the Mead Wildlife Area. There is a small network of ditches and I know guys duck hunt the Little Eau Pleine River on the N end for ducks too.

They were made in ’94, installed in ’95.

They are Hurd windows. I have talked to the factory rep. Short story is: Hurd went thru bankruptcy, new owners did not have to honor the warranties, & they don’t make my exact style sash anymore. New sash’s come with a newer block & tackle kit I don’t want to deal with.
