    I think you have that right Brad. He sure did enjoy the walleye meal you cooked for us. I was up north looking out on the lake on his birthday. You could almost feel him there as I was watching the boats coming and going. He sure is missed by so many, including me. I still run in to guys that did not know that he has gone on to better things. That happened while I was up at Mille Lacs this week. Someone called out as I was coming out of the ‘cabin’ asking if Dean was around. I wanted to say something like…I am sure he is somewhere around here but did not think that would be appropriate. Somedays you just have to have a sense of humor to get you through. He had not heard about Dean so I am glad I didn’t. I think that will happen for some time to come. He knew alot of people!

    I am so sorry to hear about your sweet friend. Thanks for sharing your story. It is a good reminder to everybody to be careful where these things are put. I received an outdoor plant from a friend one time to find out my lab chewed on it. After some vet time she was okay. But it sure made me think alot more about these kind of things.

    Just had to post in memory of Dean. Hard not to think of him today. Today he would of been out there fishing with you all and having a great time. Fish or no fish he would be having a blast.

    Just a quick note…received a call from Our Lady where Dean is at. There are some changes this morning and if you aren’t planning on visiting until later today or tomorrow I would suggest calling the home first…at…651-646-2797.

    Thanks everybody! Dean actually had a couple of ‘pretty’ good days. His ‘pretty’ good days might be a little different than ours but we will take what we can get. Talked a little bit more, smiled and certainly enjoyed your posts. That is a good thing.

    Dean is back at the transistion home (Southview Nursing home/transistion center) in West St. Paul. He is going to work really hard at physical therapy so he can get back home again and on with life.

    I printed out everybody’s comments and he was VERY appreciative.

    Thanks again everybody…you are a VERY SPECIAL part of his life.

    WOW! Deans IDA family surely is awesome. I am glad I heard about this post. I am currently printing off your responses and will bring them to the hospital to share with Dean. I know it will make his day as all of the prayers and messages I bring him do.

    He is having a good! Just taking one day at a time and moving forward.

    I was extremely thrilled to be at the game last night. What a finish in front of a record crowd. My day ranked right up there with the National championship game at the X few years back.

    Welcome to the staff. I was able to attend your all day training last year and then I purchased a 111HD. Awsome unit and the training helped me to set it up and use it efficiently. Nothing beats night trolling with the chip and my additional waypoints and icons.

    I was very pleased with the way they accepted the cup this year. It showed some class versus the group last year who thought it would jinx them later on.
    I have my seat for the Final five and cant wait.

    I work part time in a sporting goods in St Paul. I see things every day that lead me to believe that some people just do not care. Education is our main hope to convert some of these people.
    Example #1: Person wants to buy fathead and shiner minnows because he is catching northerns and bass while fishing for crappies. He now wants to use larger minnows to target bigger fish. Do you sell him minnows???
    Example #2: Group of fisherpeople want to get fatheads and shiners. They ask where to go fish walleyes around the area. My question to them was ” Did you buy a license this year?” Answer “Yes”. Next question. “Did you read the rule book?” Answer “No”. Do you sell them minnows?
    This type of behavior is way to widespread.

    I grow weary of reading the CO reports in the Outdoor News or any other outdoor paper. There is an increasing number of serious violations. The report in last Sundays St Paul paper was hopefully read by many who do this on a regular basis.

    I have been using the 2-10 Power Pro the last 2 years for my live bait rods. It does work good with the smaller diameter allowing me to use less weight to get to the bottom. I usually run 6 or 8 Trilene clear for my snells.

    Doc Samson’s DVD is now available at Joe’s Sporting Goods for anyone in the Saint Paul area.
    I am planning on attending the April 9th session also. It will definately be a full day of valuable information.

    I have to work Friday evening and Jon and I have not decided if we will drive up late or wait till early Saturday.

    How about a designated meeting spot for early AM? I assume we will venture out to the mud where the better bite has been reported.
