The engine runs I know that. That being said with the water pump being bad I don’t want to run it to long so it doesn’t overheat and ruin the engine for good. But at the same time I’m a little uneasy about buying a boat with an engine I haven’t been able to test on the water full throttle or even do a compression check on if there is a chance it will put me behind the ball price wise.

Offered $800. He came back with $1000(original asking price was $1200). I was figuring I would maybe come back with $900 and hopefully get it for that or maybe $950. He told me the water pump is out and needs replaced. If the motor is shot am I still in range price wise?
October 22, 2010 at 10:05 pm #905640Sounds about right were I was thinking price wise. I’m really looking at getting this boat to get me back on the water at a decent price until I can get something bigger and better.
Edit: Also how would this work on lakes around the 1000 acre size when it gets windy?
March 8, 2008 at 12:15 am #663402While we are on this subject. What seems to be the norm when it comes to length of the loan for boats? It seems like for a used boat I’m seeing 5 years as the most common?

Your not serious are you
If so, I would be looking at other options really fast
You mean look at other financing options? I sure am doing that.

December 6, 2007 at 5:23 am #630410Are payments due at time of sign up or when I arrive for a tournament? Just figuring out if I need to save up enough money to pay in one lump sum or not. Also how hard is it usually to register maybe a week or two out from the tournament if one didn’t want to pre-register for all tournaments? Thanks
December 1, 2007 at 8:53 pm #629203If everything goes well I will have my boat before open water next year. But with that being said I’m going as a non-boater in the BFL for the first year to get my feet wet.
November 30, 2007 at 10:56 pm #629017Looking at the entry form I take it that I mark myself as a guaranteed co-angler if I’m linking up with a boater for registration? Also if I’m a co-angler do I need to write down the truck, boat, and outboard brand of the boater I’m linking with? THanks

July 25, 2007 at 6:30 pm #593855I’m not sure if many people are going to have these units yet. For the most part it sounds like first shipments have just started to go out to the stores. It does look like it has the ability to be an awesome unit. If the aerial photo’s are like the Bushnell Onix 200 you will get 5 free ones when you first purchase the unit then after that it will cost you for your photos. I will let you know what I think about it more when I get one in and can play around with some.
July 25, 2007 at 6:26 pm #593853I have lately became partial to Shimano Crucial rods. I have their crankbait rod 7′ medium power medium fast action and absolutely love this rod. It feels great in the hand. Allows me to feel the bottom if I wish to do so with its sensitivity. It has just the right amount of flex and give in it for me also. It is also a lite rod so it doesn’t wear you down as much. Plus you can’t beat the over the counter lifetime warranty. I would highly suggest taking a look at it.
July 25, 2007 at 6:20 pm #33194I’m going against the grain here. I don’t really like Cuddeback cameras unless it is the C-3000. That was a great camera but their current cameras has problems that many but not all are experiencing. Plus it has the narrow sensor on it which I’m not really a big fan of. I have picked up two Moultrie I40 game cameras and will be picking up a third. These are great cameras for the money. They are IR, they have a quick trigger speed of 1.5-2 seconds which is more than enough to catch deer, it has a excellent flash range and excellent battery life. All of this for around $200 with a little shopping.

July 25, 2007 at 6:08 pm #593841I would take a look at the Sony W-55 (I think thats the one). It is a 7.2 megapixel camera that is right around your range that seems to be a good buy. As far as memory cards go my go to places to buy them on eBay, newegg, or buy.com
