The reason I ask is because I would like to see the SAF (Student Angler Federation) do with TWF (The Walleye Federation) that it does with TBF (The Bass Federation). There is High School Bass Fishing Nationwide through TBF and SAF however it is funded by TBF membership.TWF hasnt had time to grow and my idea is to get the kids to recruit the adults to grow membership. Kids pay $25 membership fee to SAF and adults pay $50 TWF membership. The membership includes insurance coverage for your club events and as TWF grows so does the opportunities for more youth and conservation projects. Now this is just my idea! I may be crazy, and TBF doesnt need me to reinvent their wheel, but would your grandson, neighbor, or nephew have any chance of talking you into walleye tournament fishing? Feel free to give me a call for more info. 815-509-2767 or http://www.highschoolfishing.org Thanks, Dan Palmer

Illinois DNR has issued an Official Press Release and confirmed the new record about an hour ago. Congrats to Nick and his Father Dave Tassoni. Indeed we have an awsome river here in our backyard! Please help us keep it that way if you plan to visit. Practice CLEAN Fishing! Aquatic Invasive Species are no joke!

This is a certified Record minus the tissue sample, witnessed/confirmed by Warden Brian Alt. 31″ 20 1/4″ girth. 14 pounds 12 ounces. Couldnt happen to better people. Nick and his Father Dave have whooped all of us on this river in our local tournaments and fish very loyally local here on the Rock and Pecatonica. For the full story check out tomorrows Chicago Sun Times! One reminder…. Aquatic Invasive Species are not welcome in our beautiful little river. Inspect, remove, wash and dry any where you travel to. Keep your Net Wet! Dan Palmer
