We were just up there last week.. Caught alot of small ones chubby darters worked best for us…Dead sticks were dead..Did better out in 32 FOW in the mud
Sounds like this is a common problem, with many solutions. yes i change line ( sufix ) every season on every reel i own. I tie palomar knots, it has never let me down. Lesson learned about thinking i could jig them like normal jigs/spoons, so this was an operator malfunction. Thanks alot guys for the many great ideas..
First off i am a huge Marcum showdown supporter… I think that is a crock of crap and nothing but a slam from vexilar because they are down in sales over Marcum..We caught a 31.5 and 4 over 25 in last year, and 2 over 28 and a 25 in this year on lotw…SO to vexilar…SUURE they dont work…
Hey Thanks a lot guys for all the information to mount my fish. This is such a great website. Just talked with Scott…Going with him in March..Going to LOTW again in March might get another one If i do anyone know of a good jeweler to bribe wife…
I was wondering the same actually. I only could find them in size 8 as the smallest….I did switch out all my spoons to the black VMC trebles, with a better hook up rate than the stock hooks..
We were down there on sunday, the only buoy’s were around the barges, no hassles fishing or no wake zones YET, except we only caught 2 – 14in walleyes, a 11 1/2 crappie and sheepies…
Ok really why would you think she would contact the water patrol, mndot has no authority on water the sheriff does and they are the ones who enforce the rules. The hourglass markers are the no wake zone if you would read it correctly…I am going down on Sunday and plan on fishing there, lots of boats fishing in the zone now as of last night.
Just spoke with Mary M from Mn Dot who is overseeing the bridge project. She spoke to the Washington Cty Water Patrol and it is open for fishing on Mn and Wisc borders on either side of no wake channels…. 5/30/13 12:15pm
