I have the same top on my Cabin, it will look like that in the right light. Only happens when you’ve got all the windows closed and you’re looking at the sunny side of the walls. I’m sure yours is just fine…

Another question on the lithium batteries for those in the know…

The Marcum website lists the compatible units with the lithium battery. I’m looking to buy the new VS485C and would like to use the lithium for longer run time, but this camera isn’t on the list for units the battery works with. Has the list not been updated for this years units? Or does the battery really not work or fit this new camera?

Maybe not warmed up all the way? I know mine (given this is mid winter) will die when given full throttle when it’s not warm enough…

    Will the old battery life
meters work the same on these lithium batteries?

Don’t even think about it, just fish it the line will go where it wants and give you no grief.

Haha. Sorry, that was sarcasm. I should have made it more obvious.

It looks like a cool deal. It appears to be a low-pro baitcaster flipped upside down. I bet it’s pretty smooth.

i asked about a worm gear and pawl a couple months ago, but was told it would freeze up from water/ice on the line pretty easily.

My only knock on it after first look was the fact it didn’t have a worm. I realize it will more than likely freeze up, but if I have a lot of line out…should I just wobble it back and fourth as I reel it in??

Other than the fact my line will probably all collect in the middle of the spool, its on the right track to a cool new reel.

Asked the local bait shop guy here in town what he knew about them. He said the only basic difference was the clam would have an aluminum gear box…making it a touch heavier. Other than that, exact same thing as the LazerMag from StrikeMaster.
