Just FYI the X67 ice machine is now 199.99 while supplies last in Eau Claire at Scheels. I think the other Scheels stores should be at that price too.

Yes,the Lakemaster chip is brand specific. You will also need to update your HB if it was not a new unit that you purchased this year. HB has free software update so older units are able to run new Lakemaster chips.

First make sure your H20 is in the Advanced mode. Then hit menu once , scroll down to map data and hit enter. Then scroll down to map choice and hit enter again. You can than select area you want to open. Highlight that area and then exit out until you get back to the map page. You cannot have all 5 states visible at once. There are several files for each state. for example NWMN stands for Northwest Minnesota. Good luck!! I don’t think there is anything wrong with your GPS or chip.

James would be correct. Endura will at some point take Navionics or Lakemaster micro chips. Right now they do not. Once again waiting for software update for Lowrances new units. The big question is when? Could be a while knowing Lowrance.Might be worth your time to get another H2O. You might find a good deal right now.

So Mr Marble Eye…..if I were to pony up a tootsie roll, could we bribe you into telling us what the “hot” color was? /quote] It will probably take a bigger bribe than tootsie rolls! Just kidding. Actually it’s no sercret on color firecracker chart. Paddletail that is. Seems like they wanted paddletails so that’s what we fed them!!

I took advantage of the front coming in Thursday and Friday with an awesome walleye bite here in Menomonie. Big fish 27″. Sounds like Monday could be intesting too! Very little snow here, just cold.

These are the retail prices I am seeing on new strikemaster augers:

    2.5 HP 8″ auger- 439.99

    2.5 HP 10″ auger 449.99

    3 HP 8″ auger 469.99

James, thanks for ALL of your work in making this trip possible and go so smoothly! You even had perfect weather for the trip.Thats what I call cool. I had the chance to fish with Joel and Grey Beard and enjoyed every minute of it.Everyone worked together and the food and fellowship was great. I think I ate enough Bacon to last for the rest of this year! Thanks Joel for letting me fish with you, hope we can do it again.

I know like myself many of the walleye guys have not fished Menomin much this year. I think the winter kill was worse than we think. Most guys are fishing other lakes.I don’t fish Menomin after early July because of poor water conditions.

It looks like the Lazer Mag Pro will be $480 ,that is the 2.5hp 10″. The 8″ will be a few dollars less. Scheels in Eau Claire will carry the 2 & 2.5hp Lazers.Everything I’ve heard is they cut twice as fast as the old lazers!!

I don’t know if lowrance will send you one, but you can get them at Scheels. If you live near Eau Claire stop in at Scheels and I will give you one or two. Just ask for Dwight.

Yes,you need a S cable. Cuts your power in half. If you have an FL 12,18 OR 20 they come with a low power setting just for that kind of a situation.

Scheels in Eau Claire carries chena bait every ice fishing season. Some people really like it and wouldn’t go fishing without it. It’s hard to find for late ice fishing season so get it now if you want to try it.

You can now get a camera that takes photos and does video clips. From what I have seen I wouldn’t spend $500 on a Wildlife eye when you can get an excellent digital camera that does both for $200-$300. Moultry has 2 new ones that you need to check out the I40 and 60.Both of these take photos and video clips up to 30 seconds.Excellent quality and they are no flash at night too.
    Good Luck!

To my knowledge the CD from Garmin is the only thing available with lake maps for your Rino 130. It is called Recreational Lakes and you will want to get the Central region.Retail is $100. You need to download each lake through your computer.Go to garmin.com for more info.
    Good Luck!
