These guys repaired a couple of my older OMC motors years ago. Pretty old school shop.
April 4, 2021 at 9:12 pm #2027593Wife and I got combination license by each handing our DLs to the person at Fleet Farm. No other questions or documentation.
Oh dear lord, the world has ended!
February 17, 2021 at 9:12 pm #2015842Show a little class D, the man just died.
Nope. The man was horrible and I don’t give him respect because he managed to die.
February 17, 2021 at 9:01 pm #2015838Really? A guy that read off the names of AIDS deaths like it was a sports score for ratings? A guy that did nothing but drive a wedge and say stupid stuff for ratings? Yep, quite a patriot. His eloquence will live forever….
February 16, 2021 at 7:16 am #2015244Global Warming!!!!
Yep, this odd winter storm in an area that doesn’t usually get them really disproves climate change.
February 3, 2021 at 1:00 pm #2011866The Okuma ABF50 or larger baitfeeders are a good economical option for spinning reels. Mine did a 54″ last year and performed nicely.
January 19, 2021 at 5:43 pm #2007582Got this as a wedding gift:
It put a ‘paper cutting’ edge on even my crappiest knives. Having sharp knives again is a game changer. I am sure the same can be achieved with a ‘3 stone’ system as well.
January 1, 2021 at 9:03 pm #2002338Good Job Randy !! for some stupid !@@$$!!!??? reason the state I live in thought it was a good idea to reintroduce river otters here.
in just a few short years they have about cleaned out every pond in my area including the pond on our family farm.
happily the one that destroyed ours died of,er,uh,well,it just fell over dead one day.the state does not care one iota what it cost us or other pond owners to stock them the first time and I sure as heck am not spending another two grand to restock it to feed those critters.
even with pictures of the carnage they leave, and of the critter itself we were told oh well.big or small kill em all.
So…the native species that lived in the area was brought back and killed the fish in the man-made pond and you are upset about it? I don’t get it.

I Have a Bradley digital, complete garbage. I’d get propane if I get another. Electric smokers IMO are useless in the winter.I have a small masterbuilt and it works like a charm, I smoke pork shoulders in sub zero weather with no issues at all. I think because it’s small it has no problem heating up and staying hot.
My 30″ Masterbuilt digital is very poorly designed. The digital control head for some reason sits on top of a hole in the housing where warmer air can come up through the insulation, which creates condensation on the circuit board and it will just turn off and not respond until you take it apart and completely dry it off for days. Per Google it is a known issue. They are sending me a new control head now, but they are on back order…wonder why. I guess after the 90 day warranty is up you are just out of luck.
Otherwise it works great for what it is.
December 18, 2020 at 5:19 pm #1998551So long RRR. Definitely not the way I pictured him going.
RRR was a highlight of many years of Everts stays. Friendly to all and willing to give a tip, or tip a few back. A guy who offered to let us borrow his boat when we had some motor trouble. A guy who asked a bunch of guys sitting in a cabin at midnight “You wanna see something cool?” and introducing all of us to Tannerite for the first time.
See ya around the next bend in the river my man.
December 9, 2020 at 5:14 pm #1995759Couple years ago we were fishing the Minnesota river near Mankato. River was high so it was hard to get an anchor to hold. We decided to try to tie off to a tree root on shore on sticking out of a little cut bank. Couldn’t get the boat positioned right for fishing, so we moved directly across the river to an outer bend. About 10 minutes later that exact same 60′ willow started moving and slid directly into the river. If we had been tied to that root we’d be goners. Called it a day at that point.
December 6, 2020 at 5:21 pm #1994647Manomin Park off East River Rd is where Rice Creek dumps into the river. Good multi-species spot, but in December your mileage will vary. A few miles downstream on the other side is where Shingle Creek enters the river, which is also worth a shot.

In other news, I’ve got a great deal on 9mm and .380 ammunition.I’ll sell 2000 rounds of 9mm for $.50 a piece, and 3500 rounds of .380 for $.60 a piece. This will go fast. Message me ASAP.
Better get those prices while you can! Personally, I’m hoping the current SCOTUS will insure reasonable ammo prices in the near future. Did I say I hope?
How does the Supreme Court affect ammo prices? Enlighten me.

I often wonder who are these kooky people are who fall for all of the conspiracy theory/Qanon/fraudulent voting propaganda out there.Funny thing is they are so distracted with that nonsense they miss who is actively destroying democracy.
Sad, really.
Funny how Wisconsin had more votes than Voters. Trump ahead in Pa. Then at 4 am !80,000 votes come in for Biden. Also would not let Republicans see the ballot counting.
Polling places with Biden signs and face masks. Finding Trump Ballots in dumpsters.
Yeah the kooks!Legitimate source on any of those claims would be nice.
November 4, 2020 at 5:43 pm #1985444The lawsuits to stop counting will never hold up in court. All it is is buying a headline to continue the process of making up this fantasy of voter fraud. Getting Trump out of the White House is going to resemble trying to put a cat into a bathtub full of water.

Best tool in my kitchen is my wife.Definitely not the case at my house.
I was counting the posts before wife was mentioned In my house I do 90% of the cooking.
Wife for sure. Not for the cooking but for cleaning up after I get done cooking. The multi grater also saves a lot of time. I used to spend hours chopping up stuff for soups and meals. With this thing I can do it in minutes and does great making fresh potatoes into hash browns. No more frozen ones for this household.
Go back to how you figured out that part about the wife cleaning up after you cook. Speak slowly….
October 10, 2020 at 9:49 am #1978640We were up hiking on the Gunflint Trail this week and saw grouse on just about every trail. They didn’t seem to spook at all, just running along the trails.
July 6, 2020 at 5:41 pm #1955006Does this one have coil packs? Sounds to me like its dropping a cylinder under load. These motors can idle just fine then drop one under load, which will restrict RPMs. Been awhile since I monkeyed with one, but something to YouTube.

The ones in Lake Mendota by Madsion WI can get huge.Curious dfresh, have you fished there?
Is Mendota considered a big catfish destination these days?
I have not, but like BK said, a member here used to post pics some years ago, and they were monsters.
June 23, 2020 at 6:46 pm #1952136I have wondered about growth/size of lake catfish. The ones in Lake Mendota by Madsion WI can get huge. If they aren’t always fighting current and burning up calories, I bet the can grow pretty dang fast.
May 28, 2020 at 6:08 pm #1945515Usually in July we pull ours then it needs to cure for about 3 weeks. Most of the plant will look like it has died, and that’s when you harvest it.
May 7, 2020 at 5:25 pm #1940691My buddy caught one a little bigger on P4, hooked right in the tail. We had no idea what it was until we got it right up to the boat.
May 1, 2020 at 6:10 pm #1939245Plus he’s a pretty darn good cook. I think that might be the best part of most episodes.
