    I really got into the coho down on the Illinois border in April. This year our trip was with Troy on the Obsession from Howard Kinns Sportfishing Enterprises. There were 6 of us and we all limited out for 2 days in 8 hours total. Troy really worked for his fish and was a great guy to sit and talk to… not that we had much time to sit. I would really reccomend them if anyone is looking for a charter. We have several trips planed to go back. This time we might bring our own boat.

    Soaking fish in milk will also remove any of the strong fish taste if it bothers you or anyone who will be joining you.

    I would suggest some of the less known rivers in the area. The Iron river is just as good and there is a lot less lines in it. Also the Flag river right at the fork is awesome. If you are looking for brookies try any fork of the White river. Just a little friendly advice from someone who was born and raised there…
