If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Most all the bigger sauger we see caught are released in very survivable condition, so I don’t believe the tourney does much harm.
I would be curious to see what a YOUNG Brian K would look like….can’t picture it (even though some say I have quite the imagination….no porn mustaches, please)!
Just fixed one on my Skeeter and it was an easy fix…just remove the old valve assembly (in the bilge area) and replaced it with the exact same valve, works great. Just 2 hose clamps and a single screw (holds the cable to the valve).
I was on the bay of Green Bay this past Tuesday and Wednesday trolling for walleyes off the Oconto river breakwater, 3 1/2 to 4 miles out, and on Tuesday it was CATFISH ON FIRE DAY!
They were hitting harnesses 6ft down over 30ft of water and any and every depth in between. We weighed one of the smaller ones, and my digital scale said 9.2 lbs.
