Paws and pals in prior lake is where we bring ours and my dads. They do all sorts of games and.activities with them. Pretty funny stuff, but the dogs never want to leave. I live in wb, and it’s about half an hour drive.

A ton. I would suggest not heading out there your first time in the dark, I wouldn’t go without some sort of GPS either…Way too much stuff in that part of the river to ruin your night if you’re not careful.
Bite has been solid every night for me. I’m tending to head out later in the night though, so not sure how the late night bite compares to the early night. Been sticking to rockpiles/wingdams, 16th oz draggin or precision jigs with the honey glitter chart. tail moxie being my fave lately.
Good luck everyone going out!!!!October 17, 2012 at 1:30 am #1105612Did someone ask for big sauger pics???
Seems like I get one over 20″ every time out!
Only a couple bigger eyes but I’m seeing them start to show up in better numbers….
Trolling bite has been great as well as pitching cranks and jig/crawler at dams.
Sounds like the plastic bite is heating up
July 22, 2012 at 4:52 pm #1086413Hey Derek, yeah I met you guys out on the road as you were packing up your wheeler and I followed you in in the little red car lol!
June 12, 2012 at 3:39 pm #1075480Sure did, It’s owned by two old farmers. They actually are animate about keeping people out- but I went up the long driveway past all the beware of this and that signs lol, knocked on his door, shook his hand and told him what I was there for. After getting to know me over the past year I’m now considered a friend of his. They are gorgeous fish though, colors are amazing
May 14, 2012 at 8:38 pm #1068129I’ve never caught a walleye that made me smile like I did when he held up his first crappie, the right way lol! His sister who’s 1yr+ older than him wouldn’t even THINK about touching one! He kept saying after each fish came over the edge of the boat “lemme put ma finger in his mouf daddy” lol! I couldn’t get enough, By day two- he was all pro as you can tell

When you say “kitties”, are you talking flats, channel cats or someones 4 legged meower?
LOL! I was talking the swimming kind, and I could care less if it’s a channel or a flat- Just want something with a little more tug than the panfish I’ve been obsessed with for a year now! Didn’t make it out last week so I’m going to give it a shot tomorrow out of Newport. Will have spotlight and knife handy- Any veterans want to hop in- I’d appreciate the help, gas and bait on me!
April 24, 2012 at 5:17 am #1061836Ryan-During the daylight hours, Sunny out- Up tight to shore 2-4fow. The day I went out when it was overcast and raining, they were in 10-12fow suspended half way down.
Just found out they bite at night too
I had my kids out an hour earlier, and the spot I was gill fishing was pretty slow, but they still had a good time! Mom drove seperate so she took them home when the sun went down and I informed her I wouldn’t be following…
I can’t remember having more fun with a splash brite than I did tonight Snapped a couple pics when I got out of my fish catching stupor for a split second, was having way too much fun to think about taking anymore! One pic is on the sticker tape inside my boat- was catching as many as fast as I could with a lot of smaller fish as well as many bigger ones than I took pictures of. Didn’t ever get one real measurement or weight, after dark- they were all taken on a crappie minnow through the head instead of gulp!
I wasn’t even going to begin thinking about cleaning fish tonight after this weekend- So every one of them took a big wet sigh of relief
April 20, 2012 at 5:34 pm #1060969I’ve never fished it for the open water, but my buddies have and they’ve pulled some BIG ones. Think they may be a little harder to find though…I’m not too sure…
April 19, 2012 at 6:53 pm #1060613They can be found, but you have to get out a little deeper, 10-12fow, over good weeds
April 17, 2012 at 6:28 pm #1059793The Pulse R’s ROCK! I can’t even begin to describe how many hawgs fell to them this weekend, (not that I was the one catching them ) and it didn’t seem to matter what color! Definitely a permanent addition to the arsenal-
April 17, 2012 at 6:14 pm #1059790They were out on Friday right? Or was it Saturday? I remember us talking about the boats with flags on them, wondering what the hell the were doing lol, sure were a rowdy bunch!
April 15, 2012 at 8:08 pm #1059162Nice report! We were up there as well Saturday- WHAT A DAY! Nice work guys!
April 10, 2012 at 9:05 pm #1057717I know the Chart/Orange Core PulseR’s were unbelievably productive last Sat. Went and bought out Prior Lake bait’s stock of them at lunch
April 10, 2012 at 7:18 pm #1057670Just to be clear, I’m not making it up until Thurs night, so we won’t be fishing until Friday A.M….. As long as we don’t mind getting soaked, the amount of rain shouldn’t drastically effect the bite? Bright colors for sure… but do we have to worry about the flow getting stronger or anything? Not trying to hijack here…..
April 10, 2012 at 1:32 pm #1057490Man I’m with you, blastin out of here Thursday night for a repeat of last weekend. If I have half as much fun, it’s still going to be awesome
April 9, 2012 at 8:19 pm #1057173How’d you do on 2? Thinking of heading out after work for a few hours…..
April 9, 2012 at 6:25 pm #1057109They are STILL going out there huh….Might have to make a trip tomorrow night! Nice work guys
April 9, 2012 at 4:45 pm #1057081Nicely done boys Heard the same about wheelers, we smacked em good on a day trip Saturday between Birchdale and Frontier- There’s fish EVERYWHERE in the area
April 6, 2012 at 4:36 pm #1056240TravP and I are headed up in a couple hours
We were supposed to go next weekend, but now we can’t wait -Thanx guysApril 3, 2012 at 7:56 pm #1055401Nice I was out last night solo from 5-12a.m. TONS of BIG white bass, couple nice saugers- Nothing picture worthy though…All the big girls are coming during the light hours when I can’t get a nibble
