I have a 6.5 x 17 foot v front Ice Castle. If I had it to do over agian I’d get the 8 foot. I re plumbed all the gas lines and replaced two leaf springs in 4 seasons. I also would not get the vinal siding again. It cracks when cold on the road.

How about Namakan? Any ideas on that lake? We will be staying over there and didnt have great luck last year but didnt starve either. It was hot as heck to say the least. Timmy – if you see a guy, girl and a dalmatian in a green 17 ft Crestliner tiller stop and say hi!

Batteries for the scanner and camera. We went to MI in June 6 year in a row…some years we forgot batteries and they are spendy at the track.

I used the MN Lakemaster chip for Kab and Nam in June in a 332c. The buoys are marked on the chip for Nam and crude outlines of the islands are marked too. Marking trails where you travel really help avoid bad areas and are great points of reference when there are no contours. Next time I head up there I will have a Navionics chip however. Anything that can help me eliminate water to cover faster is worth it to me.

My opinion on this is the same as many above. Charge the same for a regular car pass. If special services are required to get them on or off, ( plowing and whatnot ) charge them extra.

I was in a situation once on a big lake in a white out where a resort owner plowed the public access closed at shore. We hunted for his resort and paid him at the top of the hill where he was waiting for us. He has left the lake but never got another dime of mine till he sold.

We did a batchelor party on Mille Lacs last winter. Got a few walleyes but we were not moving around much. Rented a house out of Myr Mar and ended up at the Goose for one night. A good time was had by all.

10 miles northwest of Mille Lacs. Just southeast of Deerwood. Just southwest of Farm Island…

Strikemaster had some on the website for 40$ in the middle of december. This was a special however and is not running now. As I said, mine was a present….better than underwear.

I have the LX-I from Marcum. Thank you North Pole. I like it and its way easier to map out water with it on my belt and an auger in tow than dragging around the big locator at the same time. Mine does not have a lit display however so night time depth checking proved to be harder than I thought it would be. It does mark fish after it tells you the depth you are in with beep and a new depth of where the fish is. I am not sure about the accuracy of this feature however….it could be right on or too sensitive also. The ice I was on was cloudy and it did not shoot through it, again, better ice will probably be a differnt story.
