August 17, 2009 at 8:20 pm #797985The area on the Fox River from the dam down to the big launch has some shore spots. Follow HWY 57 all along that way and you’ll see what I mean. There are some small launches along the way that will offer you some shore fishing. I have some other spots to share but I need to go find my maps.
August 10, 2009 at 4:10 am #796362I am hanging in there. I am still battling the cancer and found out it has spread some more. We’re working on it though. I was out your way in July for a week and a half and even fished some of our haunts at Winnieshank, Cold springs, and Desoto. Man, I sure do miss fishing with ya and them yummy fish fries. While I was out there, I caught this PB kitty up in LaCrosse. Other then that, I finished my job here in Milwaukee and will now be heading up north to be closer to my God Daughters and the rest of the family.

July 21, 2009 at 12:00 am #791816Spent a week out at Goose Island fishing for anything and everything. Took one night to fish for flatheads in a normal spot with a live gill and wasn’t set for 20 minutes before hooking into this beast…..41 inches and 35 pounds.
March 27, 2009 at 11:25 am #763179That is awesome news….I love that store. Thats the first hardware store I ever saw that had a fishing department.
March 21, 2009 at 1:54 am #760952Ya, on the local news last week they had a story about a father/son team that race dirt bikes together and no longer can race together because the son needs parts for his bike and because of the ban on lead and products for kids, the sale of parts and bikes are banned for kids bikes. He was asking for help from viewers to get ahold of the higher up’s and tell them that kids aren’t eating dirt bikes and some things should be exempt from the ban. They are also worried that kids will start using adult size bikes and there will be to many injuries/deaths from using the wrong bike.

February 10, 2009 at 5:52 pm #746817Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Also, as hard as I know it was, thanks so much for sharing the process of Ken’s final days and his death. I am sure I am not alone in saying Ken meant so much to all of us in one way or another.
Rest in Heavenly Peace Ken.
February 9, 2009 at 12:23 am #746076I am so very sorry to hear this. I know Ken is in a better place but will be sadly missed. My prayers and thoughts go out to all his family and friends Rest in peace Ken and may we always remember the beauty of nature that you shared through your eyes.
February 6, 2009 at 5:13 am #745273I am so sadden to hear this news. I have talked to Ken a few times on the phone and in PM’s and he has helped me as I honed my photo skills. I always looked forward to his posted pics – they were always so beautiful and his eye for nature was awesome. I will continue to pray for Ken and if a miracle can’t be had, then at least for a peaceful passing. I have been away from the computer most of the day and when I saw the post for Ken’s album – I knew the news couldn’t be good. I also pray that his family and friends that are there by his side know that Ken goes on to a better place and that no matter how hard we will miss him – he will always be with us in one way or another.
February 4, 2009 at 8:20 pm #744565My thoughts and prayers are with Ken in hopes that he pulls through and recovers fully. Thoughts and prayers as well for his family as they deal with all they are going through.
Thanks so much for sharing this news with us all as Ken and his beautiful photos have brought us all great joy. It would be a great lost to loss such a talent amoung us.
