Hey Bigroy, They haven’t built the new facility as of yet. They were scheduled to break ground down in Fort Smith last fall, but have decided to wait. Ted was the President when PRADCO/EBSCO bought Lindy, but has stepped down to be a Lindy/PRADCO representative. With this move, Ted will still remain in his same position.

Ted – the Canada side is much nicer. The view is better and there are a lot more attractions….but not sure if it’s worth the hassle.

Just to chime in….unless you fish Lake Superior, there isn’t a need for a 50/200 transducer and as for a 28 over a 27. I haven’t seen the need for the HD’s. Just save that money and buy a LakeMaster Chip…

If you follow the “Twin Bag Trolling System”, you will actually gain with boat control going forward. You gain almost as much control as a tiller fisherman does in reverse trolling. By pin pointing 2 30″ Wave Tamers or 2 40″ Tamer right below the 3/4 from the front and on each side of the keel….it performs like putting a large rudder in the water. Joe Beech designed the system and the Drift Socks. This sock the best sock on the market. If you follow the link as about, it will explain how to do it. Use your 60″ for drifting across flats, slow down while drifting over weed beds, or other ways to correct a drift. Most likely you purchased a Drift Control Drift Sock – Either Magnum Series (RED) or the Original/Standard Series (Blue) sock. Both good socks, the white socks are WAVE TAMER…..all owned by Lindy.

Lund – you need the windshield. You ever wonder why they give you a new rain suit when you purchase one…..

Just kidding Lund makes a very nice boat. Just prefer the dryness/Ride/layout of a Ranger. I would give storage to Lund….dunno what else – ahh don’t have to wipe the water spots off as much.

I would think that you would hit 50+ with a 200 Suzuki. I believe the Lund 2010 with the 175 cruises at 55 and most Ranger 620T hit at least 50 with the right prop. I’m running the 21p Salterwater with a 150 getting 50 – 52 GPS. At wide open throttle, you don’t gain all that much for gas mileage.

Yes there are times where a camera will scare a few fish, but if you’ve never dropped one down, you better try one. This year I put a new Mav on and use it all the time. Those spots that you always catch fish – can be confirmed why by just viewing for a few minutes. Those arches down there that you are certain to be walleyes and have fished and complained that they aren’t biting after hovering over them for a 1/2 hour…..end up being suckers….great tool, just cuts in on the fishing – a little additive, but should make a good fishermen better.

That would for surely do 60. It may push 65. I’ve hit 52.5 with my 620T with a 150 Yammie. It cruises at 50 with 2 people and loaded.

If you received black connectors for your NMEA Backbone, you will want to spray those connectors with CRC Electrical Connector Spray or some type of electrical spray to clean the moisture off and give you a good connection. Make sure whatever spray you use, it does not leave any residue…. Lowrance had a problem with the black connectors. – Red ones are new ones now. This spray is also a good preventive for condensation and keeping this clean and moisture free. It may not solve your problem, but this has helped with this problem. Also make sure your LGC3000 puck is powered – with good connections there too.

Coasta Del Mar with Copper Glass 580 Lens for overcast and cloudy days, Coasta Del Mar Green Mirrors on bright sunny days, but the copper glass 580 Len’s are hard to beat. You just need to pick the right frames for your face. Yes, these may be a little heavier then some, but the temples and nose pieces are constructed to hang hung even when you’re dripping wet….no scratches in 4 pairs- except on the plastic frames when I’ve dropped them on the concrete at the landing….

I just received version 2.0 for my 112 and 27. I have not tried it, but it should fix some bugs. It will be posted on the Lowrance site soon.

I’m using a Beta Version (1.85) for the LCX27 and LCX111. Shallow water seems to be better, but you must turn down the sensitivity and lower your ping speed while over thick dense weeds(i normally run it at 100 – turn it down to 50). I’ve had this since mid July and it still isn’t as good as the older version – which came in standard on the 110’s. They tell what is happening is signal is pushing to much/many sound waves in the water creating a large signal relapse and confusing the machine when over these types of conditions. It has nothing to do with hardware….all software related, growing pains when getting bought by another company and trying to converge two different company’s software into one…..Just waiting to get the final software and hopefully it will resolve this issue. Otherwise, just stay clear of weeds???? sure……..

I don’t believe they have much for inventory on the “old” Avid Rods, a few styles have been on backorder for awhile. As for what’s new with the new Avid Series….IPC. ART (advanced reinforcement technology) is not on the new Avid Series Rods. With cork costs going up and a unique style of balancing with the Bass Rods, Tournament Bass Rods have a new look, otherwise same blank.

As for just breaking your rods to get new ones….the factory knows the breaking points on their rods and you would hope a little honesty would hold someone back from breaking one for a new one. Besides, by breaking rods just for new ones will only put a burden on the company, therfore raising prices in the future for everyone……..

You typically go up in pitch compared to an aluminum. If you are running a 19p and your hole shot is good, you may want to try a 21p Tempest, otherwise a 19p Vengence an you will turn a few more RPM’s compared to your Aluminum. also depends on which Merc you are running…Opti, 4-stroke?

    Fireline for trolling.
Power Pro for casting, especially if you have it on a spinning reel. Stren Super Braid gets way to many wind knots. 100lb Stren Super Braid is great if you are looking for a musky line. It depends on the application you use it for. Most braided lines will eventually bleach out, some just faster than others. You can always use a black permanent marker or whatever color and tie your line to a tree and recolor it…

I would have to say most lakes in Brainerd are unsafe after today’s rain. Walker Bay on Leech looked like a giant purple slushy when I drove up there today.
