This was a few years back ,,,but I traded a trip with another guide from Savannah.
Well,, he brought his six year old daughter, what a sweet little girl! She could “almost” handle the rod as good as an adult.
She caught this red drum all by herself! She sent me this letter in the mail the next week with a little charm that she made for me.
I will never forget this trip as long as I live!!!!
You know how it is guys,,,It tugs at your heart string!December 9, 2010 at 5:30 pm #915772I have a 21′ Sea-Pro bay boat(3,000 lbs)and I tow it with a GMC Safari van with no problems. It has the 4.3 V-6 in it.
If you are having trouble with your Town & Country pulling a single atv on a small trailer,,,something is wrong.
It must have a VERY LITTLE four cylinder in it.November 29, 2010 at 10:46 pm #896277I have been towing my 21 foot bay boat (About 2,000lbs)with a GMC Safari for the last six years with no problems.
The trailer has no brakes………………November 5, 2010 at 12:33 am #908054You asked,,,,”Does anyone know if my outboard would be alright running in saltwater? (It will be fine.)
Are other outboards more specialized for saltwater? (Yes, they are designed to withstand the salt with more stainless and plastics)
Just wondering because I don’t want any unforeseen problems.
(Just make sure you flush the motor as soon as you are done, and wash the boat and trailer with Dawn soap!)
“Dawn” hates salt!!! I use it after every charter on the rod and reels too.
O-Yeah,,one more important thing. If you have a stainless prop on your motor now,,,take it off before you run it down there and use a aluminum prop,,,you’ll be glad you did!
November 2, 2010 at 7:44 pm #907548If you shoot fast sports shots,,,the RAW format will hurt you a little, but if you don’t, Its the only way to go!
Here is a little read on the subject.
http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2008/05/why-you-should/
Here is something else that might help you down the road. You can see all the camera settings “EXIF” and the date that the picture was taken if someone else post a pic on the net. It doesn’t work all the time,,(It depends on how you edit the pic) but you never know when that someone will post a picture from two years ago and say it was taken yesterday.
I busted a guy on another site with this program. Man was he pissed! Check it out,,its freeNovember 1, 2010 at 10:47 pm #907384You sound like me Wade. Im pretty hard on my self too.
The more you shoot, the better you get. The biggest thing is the lighting. Once you master that your half way there…..Do you shoot in a “RAW” format?
Post some more pics for us……..
November 1, 2010 at 8:30 am #907178Thanks Wade! Your pictures look good. Do you shoot in a “RAW” format?
Please don’t take this the wrong way,,But If you want the truth about your pic’s here it goes.
For one you have the color “Jacked-Up” so high to where it looks unnatural.
The lighting looks a little harsh. To much direct sunlight.
Did you do the “vignetting” on purpose? (Dark corners)
Here is more on the subject of vignetting.

Here is another good site for you. There is a ton of info on the subject of photography. http://www.photozo.com
Keep up the good work,,,shoot more and shoot more often. (Just like a gun)
Here is one of a series I did a while back where the shots were taken at mid day in the cockpit of a sportsfisher. I didnt have much time to get these pic’s back to the customer, so I had to shoot it right then. The sun was very harsh, so I used a reflector to “Fill in” the shadows and another one to shade the subject a little.
Fill flash was also used for high-lights.Also take note of the background,,,Its dull and dark. This helps bring out the subject and makes it “Pop”.
Early AM sunlight is best when doing work like this. Its “Soft” and will make your subject look a lot better.
September 11, 2010 at 7:15 pm #898617Show us a pic of it. If its not to deep, The dent guy MIGHT be able to fix it.
August 29, 2010 at 9:04 am #896322All I use is Pflueger reels for inshore. Tournament fishing or on a charter…………….
August 19, 2010 at 8:40 am #894395Like he said,,,,”Cut those glass fuse holders right off and throw them as far as you can.”
You should also have a battery switch in there too.
Its not good for the system to stay hot all the time.August 18, 2010 at 9:52 pm #894310Don’t forget to add a circuit breaker in there.
If you run aground or get it full of weeds it will trip it and save the motor. It could also start a fire if you keep it running if you dont have one……..August 15, 2010 at 10:19 pm #893476All you need is a hunting license,,,no tags needed.
Will do Big G
August 15, 2010 at 3:37 am #893420(I deleted the first pic)
The small to large female hogs are very good to eat.
The larger male hogs are no good at allYes,, they are a major problem down here in the south. They allow night hunting and there is no off season on them.
August 13, 2010 at 9:03 am #893056You talk about a “Live well Trick” read this!
Its what us salt water guys use.
August 9, 2010 at 8:53 am #891856450.00 for a fishing rod,,,,,There is NO WAY I would spend that much money on a rod!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats crazy!
August 7, 2010 at 9:14 pm #891734I took some pictures on how I wired my LED lights and thought you would like to see how I did it.
After I almost got a ticket one AM on the way to work,,I spent a few hours in the shop elevating mine on the PVC up-rights that are on the sides of the trailer when I got home.
Like this. The only two splices (per side) that I do have in my wires are where they will not be under water at all when the trailer is backed into the water.
I have a splice in the wires up by the light and also up by the hitch where it plugs into the truck.
All of them are soldered, liquid elect tape, and then heat shrink tubing finishes it off. I don’t know of a better way to do it……..August 6, 2010 at 8:50 am #891545My clients took those. I dont know what kind of camera they had.
I had to do a good bit of editing to’em before I posted them…..August 5, 2010 at 10:50 pm #891493Fall is just around the corner,,,,I cant wait!
Ill be doing some top water action this weekend. Ill post more pics for ya…………
August 3, 2010 at 12:13 am #890590Bass,,,This is something you should NOT skimp on!
To small of a wire or a bad connection can cause a fire! Ive seen it happen more than once! (No kidding)
July 29, 2010 at 6:28 pm #889882“So basically the idea is to control slack at the reel, right?”
Yes, Your right. Between the reel and the first guide. Just lift your rod tip just before you close the bail.
Overfilling the spool will give you problems also, like Mike said. You cant put as much braid on a spool as you can mono.
July 29, 2010 at 6:04 pm #889876Berkley has plenty of good pliers for that job!
