Chris – thanks for the reports on IDO and Lake-Link. Both you and Jason do a great job of sharing information on Lake Wissota. Thank you to Jason Halfen and Sully for sharing also. I appreciate your willingness to share information. Hopefully, the next time I am in town we can meet. If you ever get to the Detroit or northern ohio area (Toledo/Port Clinton), give me a shout. We will see if we can hook up for some great lakes walleye action on Lake Erie!

    Thank you again….Paul

Not sure on the number of overs during prefishing(I know I did not catch any), but during the tournament an estimated 13 to 15 overs were caught on Day 1, 17 or so on Day 2, and on the final day 1 or 2. For me and my time on Lake Wissota, I did not figure out the over bite. I did not catch one over during my days prefishing or during the tournament. I went through on average 25 to 30 fish a day and had a couple pushing the 18in mark. I had a blast fishing Wissota…amazing crappie!!!!

All – thank you again for all your help. I had a great time in Chippewa Falls and very much enjoyed my time on the water on Lake Wissota. I am happy to say – no damage to the boat with the exception of a couple of dings on the prop from all places near Larson Point. Fortunately, I was on the electric motor and not moving too fast. Again, thank you. You have a very beautiful place to fish. I just wish Navonics and Lake Master would do a better job of mapping the lake! Take care…Capt. Paul

Chris – From my experience fishing the walleye league and tour events, the FLW usually will return fish to the lake up to several times during the weigh in depending on the number of fish caught during the tournament. They have a great system setup with a 30ft plus pontoon boat with a rather large tank using an oxygenator system to ensure the fish are returned to the water in the best condition possible. The tank is capable of filling while on the water using the lake water in which we are fishing. The tank is empty directly in the water using a hatch system on the tank which involves no handling of the fish once in the tank. I hope this is helpful.

As far as the WI DNR transportation rule, an exemption was granted the FLW concerning this rule by the WI DNR. The local game warden addressed this during our premeeting.

    Hope this is helpful.
