I’ve got an assortment of of thorne brother rods and tuned up custom rods my favorite rod in my box is 36″ bullwhip the tip will break in after catching a few good size fish on it tip will fish like a precison noodle visualy with solid backbone.The bulwhip is my go to rod for panfish and perch fishing 3mm to 5mm tungsten and smaller spoons the split grip and Eva handle are a very nice feel awesome rods

I’m running an aray of shimano 500s on panfish rods siennas sedonas and Sahara’s I’m running a couple fly reel set ups with the okuma slv 2/3 on my power noodles I have a couple ticas that have been going strong for 12 plus years great reels I like them a lot but prefer the spools on the shimanos last year I bought 2 of the black Betty 6061 love these reels the only problem I’ve found is have to watch the line wrap on the outside spool knob and I’ve had issues with the handles bending and in the 2015 models I believe they’ve fixed this problem 13 fishing sent me 3 different styles of handles when I told them about the problem and and decals top notch customer service plan on buying more 6061s this year there a work horse

Cabelas base Polar tech base layer also called ECWCS I’ve got the cheaper black set uppers and lowers incredible best 50$ I’ve spent got them on sale last year good stuff I can’t vouch for much on anything under Armour except their boxer briefs give them a shot they fit a little big I was a 3x size and fit a 2x no problem fished and hunted without coveralls all day at temperatures near zero only wore jeans on top of them

I prefer longer rods like the 36″ rods for hole hopping there’s some good reasonable rods out there frabill 13 fishing St cCroix if you want the best go custom Tuned Up Custom rods or Thornebbrothers
I’m running a few tica reels great perch and pan fis reel have a handful of the newer sedona 500s love them but for a few more $ the Sahara 500 is smooth as silk shop around deals to be had Shimano has a great drag system

Lets just say my 20 year old lazer is at the bottom of the river I made a make shift augee saver out of 2 4″ bolts was drilling with 18 volt Dewalt auger sucked down snapped my bolts never in a million years didI think that would happen ive got a 8″ power auger lazer mag just keeping my options open
